Hop, by the way, was made on two-thirds of the budget of the Sonic Movie (63 million) and was actually animated by Illumination (yes, the Despicable Me/Minions guys).

Isn't the whole point of CG characters is to be able to make new ones that a human in a suit wouldn't be able to pull off? That Sonic on the left could've been a human in costume shrinked down!

The general concencus is that Sonic has had mediocre games for years now, yet the fan base is still around to give it more chances. Why would you think this would be any different?

God I love Toot Toot Sonic Warrior. Sonic Boom was great but god damn this gets me pumped.

Yes, but it will be fully animated and Nintendo is keeping a close eye on it. As long as Nintendo keeps a firm grasp on the reigns and they avoid the real world it could be good.
