Looks really good. I hope the roller skate thing we saw in the trailer is an actual movement option.

Gave me instantaneous ski free vibes, for some reason. I'm interested.

Hyper light drifter was also great.

This game got a nice place on my ignore list, just like every other game involved in these shitty exclusivity deals.

I feel like we're gonna be seeing "coming to Epic Games Store" in a hell of a lot of threads over the next year

I love HLD to death, but this looks a LOT like Ashen. Like, too much so. The world looks pratically the same.

I can definitely see some similarities but this looks a hell of a lot more colourful than Ashen. And I bet it won't play like it!

The later areas of Ashen (Like the Bazaar city) are VERY colorful. I dont mean to bash Solar Ash, HLD is one of my favorite games of all time, but its really weird how similar they look.

Hard pass from me as well if it's exclusive to the Epic Games Store. I won't ever be supporting these bullshit exclusivity deals. In fact, I won't ever buy anything from EGS, period. (due to these practices, even if they stop in the future).

Hyper Light Drifter is one of my fav indie games of all-time, so this is a surefire day one buy for me (as long as it comes to Switch or PS4).

Man, it really sucks that the PC release platform is overshadowing the announcement of what looks to be an amazing follow up game from a developer who already put out a fantastic game. I have super high hopes for this (originally backed HLD, and was not disappointed with a kickstarter for once). If the EGS exclusive deals are what it takes for indie developers to flourish on all platforms (eventually), I'm all for it.

Google will likely outright acquire devs, similar to how Amazon acquired a few game studios themselves.
Honestly if Epic was buying out these devs and bringing them in house and not just exclusivity deals I wouldn't have an issue. ATM It mostly just feels like they are looking to piggy back off most people's work and then throw cash at it last second.

Declarations of hate for egs like this have gotten way more obnoxious than EGS

Nahh. People have the right to vent about Epic throwing around Fortnite money to wall off potential buyers who want PC games to be available on multiple store fronts. If it needs to be mentioned in every single EGS thread then so fucking be it. We are consumers and therefore anything that is anti consumer should be called out consistently.

That's exactly what they're doing.

Anyway sorry to say this because HLD was cool, but fuck epic and I'll see this game in 12 months if I still care by that point.

Not gonna lie, it's easier to just write the check and let them do their thing vs buy em up and try to have a full dev pipeline and all that jazz

Tencent kinda does it that way too (heavily invest but let them still rock independently)
