So I was Thinking About Rian Johnson's Looper, What if 10% of the Population Were Telekinetic?

Would it be as clear cut simple and whatever as this scene states or would we do more with it?

I'd imagine it be cool for a while, but with a lot of things, new developments are less impressive 2-3 years later.

Also, if you haven't seen Looper, this was totally the best movie of 2012.

I agree in terms of broad concept, but a closer look at the laws in the movie and it's just completely ridiculous. The best example is that guy whose past ended up changing by being captured by the mob and having all his limbs dismembered, eyes gouged, etc.

Even though the dismembering happens in the past he started losing shit in real time bit by bit, allowing him to make it into town before he loses all of them. How did he make it into town on limbs he lost 20-something years ago?! It makes so little sense that I'm angry it was ever put to film lol

Johnson wanted his scary body horror moment. I think it works until it doesn't. The surgery process was slow enough to where hypothetically he still would've been able to do everything he did.

Except the past doesn't update the future in real time, it updates it in an instantaneous second to the point where its INSTANTLY A DIFFERENT FUTURE, not gradually a different future. Nah, because the point of TK is just an explanation about why the kid grows up to become this unstoppable monster. But, one doesn't need TK to grow up to become some super crime boss everyone fears. You take it out and the story works just the same.

I described it last night friend as we watched it as Back to the Future, 5th element, and Akira.

I love it
