So Babylon's Fall had a beta test and I see no one talking about it what so ever

I didn't even know a test happened. No one has spoke about their impressions, no one has gameplay of it, nothing.

The E3 trailer has a lot of people (me included) disappointed with how the game looks and the fact that its going for the GAAS. I just find it crazy, it's like all hype that this game may have had died. It's having a second beta test his month even.




So how is everyone feeling about this game. Did anyone here play the beta?

Well SE made sure to killy any hype for the game with their E3 trailer. Game looks generic and blurry and deciding to make it an GAAS was not the best idea.

With that said, today Vandal (a pretty bad Spanish videogame website) published some news about the team at Platinum sharing some results about the beta feedback. Basically they said that the visuals need to be less blurry (which was easy to spot in the E3 trailer) and that the players found the combat slow and boring and not satisfactory at all.

It pains me to see Platinum struggle so often with some games, I consider Astral Chain a great game from the team but it seems that Babylon will be another big disappoitntment from P*.

The fact that nothing leaked means they probably kept the pool really small, and there's nothing particularly of note to talk about. I'd imagine the games not offensively terrible or anything, just boring.

The only good thing this game has is the OST. That opera song that played on the trailer was pretty cool. Too bad the game looked like PS2 hot garbage.

I'm curious to see how this turns out but I think most people have chosen to just ignore it. My thinking is with these GAAS titles I have to wait like a year to see what support is like and for devs to fix all the QOL updates.

So looking at a beta is crazy imo. The game at release will be a glorified alpha to me. And this isn't even one of the better looking GAAS.

All I'd be curious about is if this game is fun to mess around in and how the operatic/thespian/Shakespearean stuff comes across in the story and such.

If they remove or tone down a lot the paintbrush filter, I fear that the game will look simply bland, and if the combat during the beta was as slow and boring as the beta report says (which is an official report, so surely the player opinions were even worse) I wonder if they can really change it enough to make a fun game.

This looked right up my alley with all the pompous and bad PS3 graphics but unique/weird art-style. It reminds me of more experimental PS2/early PS3 JRPGs. But GaaS killed all my interest in it. And I don't even know what the target audience is here.

with betas like this and Battlefield, sharing NDA'd footage and impressions are to be expected when you open the closed beta to the public. I think it's kinda telling of Babylon's Fall that no one has bothered to leak stuff about the game.

I was actually thinking of this game in connection with the upcoming September events where Squeeenix might be showing off its titles.

With GotG, FFXVI, FF VIIR-2, FF Origins and Forspoken, where does this game fit into their release schedule?
