We are as far removed now from the song Stan, as Pearl Harbor was when Stan first hit.
I can't remember who did a favor to whom when Dido featured in Eminem's song.don't know if this a serious question, and I think his music has aged like guacamole, but by the time Stan dropped as a single, Eminem was the biggest thing in music at the time
No...n..noo. No way. OMG it's true.
Should work on twitter
I know, that was a pretty good sketch compared to SNL's recent outputThat was one of the better SNL skits I've seen in a long time. Some of the lyrics had me dying

People only say "who?" when its a famous POC
I'm not sure how good gauc is after 20 years but Em's old catalog still bangs on multiple levels.don't know if this a serious question, and I think his music has aged like guacamole, but by the time Stan dropped as a single, Eminem was the biggest thing in music at the time
Think they more mean by his super offensive music contentI'm not sure how good gauc is after 20 years but Em's old catalog still bangs on multiple levels.

There. That's better.I feel like some songs become such classics that they can always be parodied. "Stan" is absolutely 100% certified at that level.
it really does not. awful music. only SSLP and select MMLP and Eminem show tracks pass the listening test (with extreme difficulty)
guy spent the first half of his career making music for kids that randomly yell "penis" in class, and the second half of his career he was making call of duty music.
but hey, he'll always have "Rock Bottom" and some really good rhyme schemes.

So even by your own standards, he has plenty of records that pass your listening test.
Your select tracks on The Eminem Show has to include
White America
Cleanin' Out my Closet
Square Dance, Solider
Say Goodbye Hollywood
Sing for the Moment
Til' I Collapse
And on the MMLP it has to include
Kill You
Stan
Who Knew
The Way I Am
Marshall Mathers
The Real Slim Shady
Remember Me?
Drug Ballad
Amityville
Kim
Criminal
So I just don't see the justification for your comment that any of this is awful music.
Of course, not everything stands the test of time, but that goes for all art. And if you didn't like these records before then you don't like them now but you can't honestly say his music hasn't aged well if you never liked it in the first place.
