What do people mean when SMW has bad physics? Like in difficult and hard to control? Its the easiest of all 2D Mario games, I dont understand.
People are probably used to the physics from Super Mario Maker.

Which I would argue are absolutely terrible.People are probably used to the physics from Super Mario Maker.
Joycons Control layout is not great for super Metroid. Been having some issues, though some of that is just I haven't played super Metroid in like 5 years
It was in the datamine so odds are goodOddly, Breath of Fire is the only game in its series that I have ever played. Emulated it when I was like 12 and had a good time. I really hope 2 is on its way because that one is apparently where the series really comes into its own.
I think they had people doing that in one of the preview videosMaybe this is a dumb question but here it is. Can you play Super Mario Kart locally with split joycons? Because that'll be amazing. Never tried if that works with the NES games.
Iggy no joke is usually the hardest boss in the game for me. Beat him first try last night, though!Super Mario World is perhaps my favorite game ever, but I still had an "Oh yeah, the game is like this" moment after coming straight off of Super Mario Maker 2. Physics are nowhere near bad, but different than what many are used to.
I BEAT WORLD 1 TAKE THAT IGGY
Hot takes, is all. Gotta take shots at the revered. What do people mean when SMW has bad physics? Like in difficult and hard to control? Its the easiest of all 2D Mario games, I dont understand.
I somehow remembered both of the helicopter codes right away...Feels so good to play Pilotwings 25 years after. The music is so good, it brings back a lot of good memories of playing with my father as a young boy.
When I think about it, it's probably my first experience of an "open world" : the rocket belt stages where you could go anywhere in "3&c blew my mind as a kid
wowSo I put together a rough list of what we might expect down the line based on companies that have already given the go ahead to at least one title for the NES and SNES apps. I didn't bother with obviously licensed products or games that have already been released elsewhere on the Switch. Apologies for anything I missed or got wrong, it was a little tricky navigating who owns what IPs from that far back. I also didn't take unreleased import titles into consideration.

nah... apparently the best controlling mario game has bad physics... we've been blinded for the last 29 years
Yeah, go to settings.I haven't gotten a chance to try this out yet, but is there a way to turn off the button overlay/UI?
Oh I've seen a few...
People are probably used to the physics from Super Mario Maker.
No problem. The video is a good overview of the issue. There are games where 4:3 is better (chrono trigger).
That's really too bad, because it is filters like these that give CRT filters a bad name. If people used better ones you wouldn't see a lot of the illogical BS surrounding them.
omg so it is possible then? May I ask which video in particular? Is it posted in this thread? Gonna try it as soon as I arrive home so I can play with my dad. He loves Mario Kart to death and it's been decades since the last time we played Super Mario Kart ( I skipped the SNES Classic Mini)I think they had people doing that in one of the preview videos
Awesome work but there's some more possible 3rd party stuff. Sega for example also has access to Atlus games (Run Saber, Power Instinct, etc) Sunsoft owns all of Nihon Telenet's properties (Valis IV, Neuiger, etc), and Spike Chunsoft owns most of Human's library (Fire Pro Wrestling, The Firemen, etc). Also Sega doesn't own Space Megaforce, all of Compile's non-Puyo games are owned by D4 Enterprise. So I put together a rough list of what we might expect down the line based on companies that have already given the go ahead to at least one title for the NES and SNES apps. Is there anything that would stop nba jam from being available on this?
Oh shit, Demon's Crest? Gargoyle's Quest was one of my favorite GB titles, but I never got to play the SNES version. Looking forward to checking it out.
I'm so jealous.I'm playing Super Metroid for the first time. I know I'm very late to the party, but this game has a fantastic atmosphere. I like it a lot.
I always thought Mario felt heavier to control in SMW, but we never grew up with a SNES and I got so used to playing Mario 3 on the NES.What do people mean when SMW has bad physics? Like in difficult and hard to control? Its the easiest of all 2D Mario games, I dont understand.

Thanks, I went ahead and updated the list! I'm a little out of my depth on some of the niche third party titles, so I appreciate the info. I didn't want to dig into potential import titles besides what had already been released, so I didn't bother with the bulk of Human's catalogAwesome work but there's some more possible 3rd party stuff.
