I spent the best part of a year umm'ing and ahh'ing over a 4k but didn't feel like I could justify it. My wife got so fed up with me she bought me one for Christmas. What a bird!

Nope. I could get one, but honestly it'd feel like a waste of money. I have no physical 4K media, most of the streaming content I watch isn't 4K, broadcast TV isn't 4K, most of what I play on my PC wouldn't run at acceptable framerates at 4K, and current gen consoles most often only display upscaled 4K content.

It's too early for 4K for me.

Currently only have a 1080p TV but will get a 4K TV next year probably. Gotta be ready for next gen.

Yep. LG C8 I got in September. Got it when I did primarily because I couldn't stomach playing Spider-Man and RDR2 on my old 1080 set when I'd had a Pro for well over a year.

Worth it.

I don't like the response "1080ps is enough for me"..... I think it is very disingenuous. I can afford a 4K TV but am waiting for the 4K tv sets to improve in all areas before buying. So it is not "1080ps not enough for me" even though I have one.

1080p for now. May upgrade when the next consoles release, but TBH I just have my PS4 hooked up to my 1440p monitor and plan to just use that next generation.

It's complicated...

I have a 4K HDR TV that I'll actually use more often for my retrousb AVS, Mega SG, or my Super NT than I do for my Xbox One X. I do play my Xbox One X more often, just closer to the couch on a 22 inch 1080p TV that I have sitting on my coffee table.

Some games though, I really only play on the 4K, though. Like if I were ever "RttP" on Resident Evil 2 or Red Dead Redemption 2, I'd play them on the 4K tv.

I think it's just habit, because my older TV was kind of a power hog and if I used it for any significant amount of time my light bill would go up. This newer TV is much better on just sipping power and doesn't really seem to affect my power bill that much, but I'm still just used to "heavy gaming" on a smaller monitor now.

Got an open box Sony 55 X900E (4K/LED/120hz) at an unbelievable deal. It's an awesome TV and great for gaming.

Yep. My old Plasma was falling apart, and I don't know if you can even buy a 1080p TV any more, so I got a nice 4K TV late last year and I'm really happy with it.

Yea "for gaming".

I play my 1x and ps4 pro on a 1080p 24" monitor with old speakers I found at goodwill while my wife lets The Office run in the background on our 4k and dolby atmos lol

Was neat for the month I had the living room lol

I have a 1080p TV, which is probably part of the reason I hate playing on console. I'm spoiled by my PC monitor.

I have a 1080p tv at the moment but I plan on upgrading to a 4k HDR tv either later in the year or early next.

Been using the same HDTV for around 15 years, don't plan on getting a new one until the old one dies.

I think my current TV is 1050, maybe a little less. Not quite 1080p. Can we get on option added to the poll that is between 1080p and CRT.

I have a few 4K TVs that I use for gaming and movies. 85" Sony 900f in the theater room. 55" Sony 930e and 900e in the gaming room, and a 65" LG UH7700 in the living room. I do still have 1080p TVs in the bedrooms and the kids playroom. 1080p is still more than suitable for casual use.

I actually game on a 720p TV and a non-broadcast-quality CRT so none of the options were correct.

I upgraded to a modest 4K TV (from 720p) a few years ago for like $400 and it's definitely been a worthwhile purchase. Find myself wanting even more though so I'm beginning to look into upgrading to an OLED soon.

I own a 4K TV /w HDR and used to game on it, but since I moved in with my GF I do all my gaming almost exclusively on my 1080p computer monitor. I run a long HDMI cable in case I need to put something on the TV

The 4K TV is only 40 inches though so I have to be super close to notice a difference anyway.

Edit: I have a Switch/base PS4/Xbox One X situation

I have a 4k TV but no 4k consoles. We wanted to upgrade to a bigger TV and 4k just happened to come with it.
