People want previews. This is the event for the media so they can write those "previews" afterwards. See God of War etc.
Wait for Outbreak Day. I guess we will see something there.
We also have Dreams, Concrete Genie and Iron Man VR. Being part of a conference with the Big 3 will help the games reach a bigger audience and also have indies like Spelunky 2 and the unannounced ps4 game.

Inviting press to play a preview who will later give their impressions after the embargo lifts along with some b-roll footage has been the status quo for over a decade. We may even get a release date trailer after this.
Short of playing the game what more do you want because at that point you're just fucking entitled.
I'm impressed with the level of post-launch support for Days Gone considering that it's a singleplayer-only game
