So listening to the music in the Miles Morales trailer got me so hyped for this game. Music was also a big part of Enter the Spider-Verse and I think it would be awesome if Miles had a playlist in his game. Plenty of open world games have licensed music to listen to on radio stations and I think it would make free-roaming and gathering collectables more lively. Something to replace or expand upon the J.J.J. podcast in the first game. I don't know how the PS5 is going to handle spotify integration but I would prefer if the music in Spider-Man actually reacted to what was going on in the game. Sort of like the music in SSX games. Maybe even have new playlists as a collectable in the open world? So what do you think?

I think I've been listening to On my Way(song in the trailer) all of last night and today. Would be awesome if that was an option for Miles.

That'd be dope as fuck. I didn't even think of that. A hip hop centric soundtrack in general would be great.

Imagine if they put the Into The Spider-Verse soundtrack in the game, and it plays whenever Miles in-game puts headphones on.
I honestly wouldn't be mad if the playlist was literally just ripped from Spider-Verse, lol. I wonder if all that music is under the Sony umbrella? Would make it even easier.

I'll be honest with you, if I can't listen to What's Up Danger while swinging around the city... I'm gonna be disappointed.

I'd certainly welcome that over the fairly generic (not bad) orchestral track in the first game I heard so many times

'controversial-yet-so-brave' take: most, if not all open world-games should allow you to play music on demand while traversing said open world.

You could just use Spotify.
Just mute music in game and listen on Spotify. Licensed music just creates problems later.
I will if it's my only option. But then I might not discover new music that I may have never found on my own. And then the music will feel detached from the game world. It would be nice if Miles reacts to the music in subtle ways. Seeing him turn it on and perhaps even enjoying swinging around to music would make for a really fun scene. And having him turn the music on or off at appropriate times would mean that I didn't have to pause the game every time I wanted to adjust the music. AND they could have the music distort with the wind or other effects based on how fast you're going or how far you're free-falling.

Yes but you need to give me his Spider-Verse hoodie outfit.

I'll just use spotify.

Guarantee you'll be able to find officially authored soundtracks to swing by on it by sony, playstation or the devs.

Only if Miles was curious enough to check out his father and uncle's collection. He can fuck off with that autotune.

More games should just rip off Watch Dogs 2, i loved being able to drive by cars and shazam whatever song they were playing and then add it to my own personal playlist all in game. Being able to do that while spider swinging through New York would be awesome.

Also I really hope they don't do what they did in the first game where they had a nice song play in the opening cutscene then left us with just generic hero music when we were swinging around.

This would be sick. That's a collectible worth finding.

Insomniac got pretty damn lucky on how much of a homerun Into the Spider-Verse ended up being.

My biggest disappointment of Death Stranding was how you couldn't listen to music while walking. I tried Spotify and it doesn't work because it won't blend in or quiet down if someone is talking like it would if it was a built in feature. I also think the original game got a little quiet just swinging around. Some solid music built in would be amazing.

Can we get some Lupe Fiasco in here if Miles can listen to tunes while web-swinging?

Would love to swing around at night to this. Especially with all the neon that was in the trailer.

I hope so. I got sick of the orchestral theme that would play *every* time you go out swinging. It was ok the first 100 times.
I'd certainly welcome that over the fairly generic (not bad) orchestral track in the first game I heard so many times
Can he have something more than the one openworld song from the last game?
I honestly didn't think much about this when I played through Spider-Man but looking back on it... yeah. At the VERY least I hope we get some more variety in Miles Morales.

I'm listening to my own music 90% of the time I game so regardless I'm good.

King Kunta is gonna be blaring as I zoom through the city as Miles.
