This is valuable, in that it shows how dangerous that radicalization is and how western nations will keep breeding terrorists until they step down hard on all the bullshit. But really, this is evidence #35,774.

No doubt we will see US publications running more sympathetic pieces. However, if she was a brown Muslim I doubt the tone would be the same.
I have been saying it for a while, but we need to try and stop automatically viewing people like her as either irredeemable scum or some sort of normal part of the political environment. People like her have been indoctrinated by far right media and it is no different than Muslim extremists and how they get radicalised. It is a major issue and they honestly need professional help to be dereladicalised rather than be used by politicians as supporters.
The decades of right wing media laid down the groundwork but the Internet has really supercharged the rabbit hole of right wing extremism.

I assumed she got shot from across the hall, but nope... the officers were right there pointing guns point blank yet she and that front line didn't give a fuck.

That is the thing, she took part in a violent insurrection to storm the capital and disrupt a constitutional process to overturn a legal election. This is when you should expect the police to shoot/kill. The only thing I am surprised about is the fact that more people were not shot and killed. But the journey that got her there is crazy. And all for Trump. The guy who cheated on his wife with a porn star, whose wife won't even hold his hand in public, the guy who is so openly corrupt and incompetent. I will be honest, I was alarmingly wrong about how dangerous he is. I thought he was mostly hot air and that the fringe part of his supporters were still only cheering for their side like sports fans.
My only question about that is how do people like this get professional help if they don't ask for it themselves? In their mind they're perfectly right doing what they do so I can't ever see a call for help being initiated. Maybe if loved ones around them try to intervene but honestly I can't see that happening either. This is the type of decision making where people like this will push hard against any opposition, family, friends... anyone.

Yup. I could not think in a more "Karen " way to die. She was so entitled that she thought the agent was not going to shoot her. So infuriating, sad and hilarious at the same time.
The other terrorists were repeatedly screaming that the officer had a gun, and you can clearly see the man aiming a pistol out from wherever he was sheltered. And she decided with all those warning signs to fuck around and find out.

Even though she clearly was a nut, a loss of life is still sad to me regardless of a persons 'beliefs' and I truly hate anyone had to die because they bought into this ridiculous ass shit.

The only explanation I can think of is this is God saying sorry and giving us all a laugh for allowing Trump to happen.

I honestly don't have the answers but as you say it could be loved ones, fiends, colleagues etc. But leaders and professionals need to find some answers because the thing I find fascinating are the people who voted for Obama twice but are now deep into MAGA, which is what this person did apparently. At the very least it shows you that they were somewhat reasonable at one point, but have now gone off completely at the deep end.

You should not be able to get this deep and have so many resources all backing up straight up lies and conspiracy theories. If you get into crowder, conservative twins, fox news oan . Your feed is contaminated with "logical" content. As long as you don't stray from it into reality..
I love ufos bigfoot reptiles.. all that stuff. But I'll gladly give up those hobbies if it meant more people get to live productive lives. When it gets to the point of a religious beliefs it's dangerous as fuck.
Not sure how you go about this while keeping communication healthy and without the government breathing down your neck.
I feel like it's the same way vegas hands out pamphlets about gambling addiction... Sure the resources are there for you if you desire to look into them. But you're in a casino...

Some of these people were so deep into the conspiracies that they honestly thought they were doing the right thing. They think they're trying to save America from some evil force that stole the presidency and plans on taking their freedom. It's insane really. It really is a cult.
I have no doubt many people just have bad intentions, but plenty of them really do think they're the good guys. Their worldview has been twisted.
