That's not exactly what Chuck said. He said his prediction was correct that forcing Michael as the main character and the shitty science of the spores was a mistake.

He showed he saw potential in Discovery with the problem being the main character bored him (he even compared her to Seven on plot steriods)

But saw potential. But thought focusing on Michael was bad because the first 2 episodes gave her no mystery.

He even clarified that he was giving his own opinion only and was not trying to placate anyone. Because calling Discovery average seems like a safe call.

I just finally got caught up on Chuck's Sith Inquistor review and despite all the things he's says about TOR I ended up reinstalling it and playing again yesterday

So Chuck brought up a good point in the Mortal Coil review that I had noticed as well. The difference between people who watches Voyager all the way through the first airing and those going back to it now that it's Retro.

I am a firm Voyager hater and only ever watched it through because it was more Star Trek. I remember liking bits and pieces but overall it was so stupid. But especially when DS9 was over it was the only Star Trek option.

I have tried to go back to it but honestly I still don't like it. Yet I do see more and more people praising it after they go back to it years later. And it's just so odd to me.

Sometimes the show ends up working better for people without that specific community context, because it allows them to develop their own views about what the series does right or wrong, which aren't always what you'd expect (many would say the show gets pretty crazy by S2, but opinions about the specifics vary)...so you never know.

I'm a little mad that he's reviewing more of Lost Room this weekend instead of Star Trek.

I'm over it but Chuck's weekend Star Trek reviews give me life and I'm working this Saturday and was looking forward to it

I know I've complained about this a lot, but the only episode listed that comes close to being appropriate for SF Debris to review is that last episode. Everything else has very little to do with sci-fi or fantasy, beyond the central conceit of the show. I get that he's acting based on years old requests, but there's way more that better fits the site's theme after season 4.

They seem to be somewhat divisive episodes as far as the fan base goes so it would interesting to see what Chuck thinks.

Instead of "Forever in a Day", he reviewed the first three episodes of the Dragon's Lair cartoon. From his commentary, it seems like he chose to review this purely to prove to other people that it exists and he didn't dream it up. No requester is listed.


Doctor Who "Hell Bent" review is up! He liked the first part of the episode, with Rassilon being overthrown. He really doesn't like the episode after that.
