I've got some colleagues in town in addition to attending and would probably be down.
Even though I don't live/work in SF, I've been spending 60% of my time there.

GDC sounds pretty convenient. Especially with the potential of other people traveling for the conference that happen to be members of this board.
I know a nice restaurant / lounge that doesn't get packed near the event for a meetup. It's been my go-to for two years when in SF.

The Tempest.
I went there and found none of the GDC crowds. The place does have a classic / older type vibe which probably clashes with the young crowd at GDC. Probably a sign that I'm becoming an old fart.
Ah yeah Tempest is alright. Could definitely see it avoiding the GDC crowds but it gets pretty packed for sports. I'm still relatively young and I prefer dives like that.
Looks like GDC is going to be a bust for some people. Facebook and Sony pulled out. I would not be surprised if the rest of Silicon Valley attending the show pull out as well.
Hey, I have some friends from Texas coming down in a couple weeks. Do any of you peeps have breakfast taco (NOT BURRITO) suggestions? I haven't been able to find any good ones in my two years here.

Didn't consider myself part of the planning crew. Moreover, it is a BAY AREA meetup technically so GDC or it's time frame should be irrelevant. Throwing this out there... How about something this or next weekend? Do we need to hire security for you? :P

I'm up for it depending on the type of scene. I'm more of a social bar / coffee shop type for meeting up with people I haven't met in person. (As far as I know.)
The last successful meetup happened at Coin Op (in 2017?) which is a bar. Followed by another bar, and another bar.

I'm hit or miss at corn (I can never get the press right. They're always too thick), but kill at flour (Bless HEB's recipe!). I ended up making breakfast tacos yesterday morning. They did not taste as good as not having to make them at all. Haha!
