Honestly, PC gaming is irritating as fuck. Sick of dealing with this and that and this or that not working right or something being slightly off and taking the time to see what the deal is. 45fps is perfect as I have an eyed that likes to float once in awhile. It'll probably appear as a solid 30fps when that happens.
I have the same GPU as you and all I did was set everything to max and start playing. You do you, though.

You do you, but PC should just be set it and forget it.

What type of set up could you possibly have that makes configuring this game more difficult than a PS4 Pro?

If you're using a PS4 controller with the PC that's kind of on you for using something that's not the "default" or widely supported, and you should expect to run in to issues.

The game will run infinitely better on your RTX 2070 than it will on the Pro.

Pretty much solid 60fps at Max with 2-3 settings turned down to High. Only played for about an hour.

Also for people having PS4 controller issues, I had an issue at first where the game would not detect the controller or the right thumbstick acted like a mouse. I managed to get it working by using DS4windows and disabling controller support on steam and not using big picture mode. Edit: Also, it's wired.

Are people with controller problems playing wired or wireless? When I tried DS3 with an Xbox One pad over bluetooth it was all fucked up. I'm using my DS4 wired for Sekiro and all I had to do was use Steam controller support and remember how to configure it to disable gyro as mouse and it was good to go.

This is what worked for me:

1. Go into Device Manager.
2. Drop down the options under Human Interface Devices.
3. If your DS4 is plugged in and you're running DS4Windows, you should see two entries called "HID-compliant game controller."
4. Disable one of the two (it was the second one for me).

Of course, you should make sure you've checked "Hide DS4 Controller" in the DS4Windows settings.

Ok this one worked for me ! (DS4)

Is this a common problem for people rn?

Yes for some people.

I have just played the tutorial area, game runs perfectly maxed out at 4K/60 (8700k/2080ti) except some drops to 52 (?) in cutscenes.
I may be spoiled by SotTR recently but graphics are a bit underwhelming, don't you think? May change in later areas, though.

Holy shit, this game runs better than DS3 on my humble 970. Locked 60 so far. Glad I went with the PC version.

1080ti here and I'm not getting a locked 60 FPS @ 4K. Stays around 55ish very often, drops to lower 50s sometimes are common. 1080ti peeps here, you sure getting a locked 4K/60FPS? Ryzen 5 2600, SSD and 16 GB RAM as well.

When the game unlocks for me, I will give it a test and see. I've got a 1080ti (overclocked), i7 7600k, 16 gb ram, installed on NVME drive and G-SYNC enabled.

For context, I got flawless 4k/60 on dark souls 3, so I hope to get something similar here.

GTX 980 / I5-6600K / 8gb ram - I'm only getting around 19 fps in the starting area on low settings at 1080p, are you guys setting any specific settings or is my graphics card just too shit?

I had zero controller problems. Well, I guess technically it's a problem that it defaulted to some kind of gyro setup, but a quick gamepad template from steam input settings fixed that right up.

Playing at 1440p with the settings as high as they can go. I notice it'll go down to the mid-50s here and there, but not enough that it bothers me.

I have noticed some hickups on cutscene camera cuts, but no perf issues during gameplay. Playing on 1070 at 1080p, everything max. There's some headroom left there, I think it was running at something like 70% gpu usage or thereabouts. 1440p would be the next step up and I imagine that 1070 might not be quite enough for solid 60 on that res.

I'm running it at 1800p now max settings on my 2070 without any issues. I also finally figured out how to get HDR working on a custom resolution so that's nice.

This has plagued the engine since Dark Souls 1. Any conflicting devices that can be interpreted by the game as a controller causes actual controllers to not function. I had to disable XInput for my Wooting Two for my controller to work.

Download USBDeview if you want additional information on which HID and USB devices you're disabling as it's a pain if you accidentally disabled keyboard or mouse input.

Can't hold 60fps regardless of settings, weak. Hits 40fps on anything above low. Frame dips are really jarring and stuttery. Guess I'll just buy it on PSN.

Just installed the ducking screen just flashes like mad and I had to set my PC scale from 150 percent to 100 to see it properly but doesn't stop the flashing I can't make a selection of any kind.

Only issue so far is some weird hitching when the camera cuts to a new angle in cutscenes

I'm getting what can't be more than 10fps with graphics settings all the way on low.

Intel Core i7-8550U @ 1.80GHz
16.0 GB RAM
GEFORCE GTX 1050

So I should be getting way better, right? Any tips appreciated.

Game is awesome and runs great. Locked 60 at High/1440p with an 8750H and 1070 Max-Q. XB1 controller works out of the box over bluetooth.

1070 can def do 1440p, at last on all "High" settings. 4K would have to be 30 fps.

It's using your integrated GPU, not the 1050. Manually force it to the discrete card in the nVidia control panel.

Laptop? Check your CPU temps while in game. Also make sure you have high performance selected in windows power settings.

Edit: it probably is using the integrated gpu

Damn it From, you're still stuck in medieval ages literally and figuratively.

Piss poor ultrawide support and a freaking fps cap.

Why would I not want to play every game like this? Ever since I went uw 16:9 feels more like 4:3

my8Pr8b.jpg

You can buy it on console and play at 30 fps instead?

You all "Runs great on my GTX 4080 3 way SLI" Let me give you some performance impressions on old hardware:

GTX 760 AMP! Edition + FX 6300 at stock speeds and 8GB RAM @1600 MHz.

Solid 1080p 30 FPS on max settings with medium textures and the dynamic performance option ON. The card has some performance to spare so the game may actually hit an average of 35 to 40 FPS when the framerate is not capped with RTSS.
.

That CPU is definitely bottlenecking the hell out of that card BTW, it's worse than the venerable 2500K.

It is. For me it's a perfectly locked 60fps.

What advantage is there to using Borderless Gaming? Performance? It feels like I'm getting slight hiccups, even though I shouldnt be on a 1080ti/8700k

runs at solid 60fps at 3440x1440 (pillarboxed to 16:9) on my i5-4690k + 1080ti, wish it had 21:9 support but hopefully WSGF can get it working

When I load Sekiro it turns my screen purple/pink. The game seems to work but even when I quit out the desktop stays purple/pink. Anyone know how to fix this?

Edit: and the resolution on the desktop was dropped to something really low to where I can't even read what's on screen.

Edit 2: Turning on stereoscopic 3D from the Nvidia control panel fixed it but as soon as I boot the game again it's purple all over again. Hopefully someone can help.

Edit 3: switching to 1080p in game fixes it too so it's just the 4K setting that turns it pink. Hopefully someone here can help.

Edit the fourth: switching from 4K to 1080p and then back to 4K also fixes it but only until I quit. If I boot the game again it's back to purple. Also 1080p just works period even after quitting and reloading. This is fucking bizarre.

It's running well so far on my 6700k and 1070, the only issue I have is that every time I start it up it seems to be kinda stuck on a black screen for around 30 seconds before showing the Activision symbol. The other FROM games I have on PC start right up without any issue like that.

So. If you have an HDR TV that you can manually enable its HDR mode and BT2020 color space, the HDR seems to look proper. As far as I can tell, the problem is that the game doesn't have the metadata tags to tell your tv to switch over to HDR mode, but is still feeding the proper color space and possibly Luminance information. You just have to enable them manually on your tv. When you manually enable them both on your TV it seems to look proper.
