Now that we have had mask culture for a while now, whenever I see someone without their mask on it just feels weird and exposed.

A friend of mine described someone having their mask off now is attractive (and almost like porn).

Even when watching movies and shows, seeing people not wearing a mask is weird af (since we are now so accustomed to seeing everyone wear masks depending on where you live).

Anyone else feel the same?

EDIT: For context, I don't mean not wearing a mask when needed, I mean just showing mouth and nose as being weird now.

I think what they are getting at is a forbidden fruit sort of thing. Because we normally now can't see people's faces, it increases our desire to see them. Not really a new concept, just one that normally applies to other parts of the body.

I mean, if I see someone without a mask in public I just think they're an asshole.

uhh, no. I don't understand your friends description at all. Like is it attractive they're breaking standard procedure?

Ok, we have finally found a literal "AM I THE ONLY ONE" thought where the answer is YES.

I see mouths all the time on zoom meetings 🤔

You can also still notice people smiling even with masks.

I'm still going to work and I've see the same people 5 days a week since March with masks. Once in awhile I catch a glimpse when they're outside eating something, taking a drink of water, on video in a Team meeting, etc. and they look so strange maskless. It reminds me of when you know someone for years and only see them with glasses and then suddenly they switch to contacts.

Is it like porn? No.

Wha... No... Do you live alone, OP? I live with my girl friend and roommates, so maybe the weirdness I feel towards the sentiment is more because I still see a lot more faces without masks than faces with masks.

You mean it arouses them? No...seeing people maskless doesn't make me feel anything.

I live in a similar situation to you, but seeing people without masks outdoors feels weird still.

Whenever I go out and people watch, sometimes I see people and be like "Damn they look good as shit"

Despite masks.

I can see it now, sitting in a booth inserting money to see someone mask tear off.

I don't find it weird per say but I do automatically think about where they are. Like if I'm driving and I see someone jogging I notice if they do or do not have one on.

The cool thing is, you can almost instantly place a video on the Internet as either pre-March/April or post-March/April 2020 now.

Nah, not really. Probably because even with mask wearing I don't leave my apartment more than I need to, so I don't see that many masks in my day to day. See more folks on Zoom, etc. without masks.

It could be like porn in the way that they're being a dick or a cunt out in public.

But as far as seeing folks on pre-COVID entertainment, it makes me nostalgic more than anything.

So oddly, and related, I definitely seem to have developed a think for women in masks.

I've always had a thing about eyes, so yeah... I guess that's my confession? lol
