Cool. Train me and I train you?
lolI'm going to break up with him then hook up with his best friend.
Match grimey with grimey.
In this scenario they don't do anything for youI know the right answer is winning the poll by a fair margin, but its still wild the number of people genuinely answering that it is their significant other's duty to meaninglessly endanger their life by your side for no reason in a situation where they can't do anything anyway, and can maybe do something if they get away.
.What the hell would they do if you're at gunpoint. I would hope my wife would peace out and get to safety if she could.
Yeah on a gut level I would be really annoyed that folks took off and I got hurt. That's really what the question is asking. I put multiple options in the poll because I think any response is fine, but for me personally I'd have to dwell on my responseThe thing is...
If I were to answer this prompt seriously, one of the worst things you can do in the event that you're robbed at gunpoint is anything sudden. That includes running. So, if I didn't break up with my boyfriend (and I still would, I'm real about mine), I'd also be enraged at them for doing something that in reality only increased the chance that harm came to them OR me (because now the robber is pissed, and the partner running is likely WHY I got fucked up and not just my shit taken).
EDIT: I mean, this is hood/self-defense 101. You don't run from someone pointing a gun at you unless you KNOW they're planning to shoot, in which case you take your chance.
Them "owing" you because they fled is not really a fine response when it is your SO.Yeah on a gut level I would be really annoyed that folks took off and I got hurt. I didn't choose that option. It's "fine" because im fine with someone admitting that's their responseThem "owing" you because they fled is not really a fine response when it is your SO.
They didn't get the authorities? Couldn't be bothered to call 911 once they got away?
I've been held at gunpoint several times and it's terrifying always, I would hold 0 grudges in fact I'd be extremely happy that my SO got away, people have different responses in fight or flight, what kind of an idiot would hold such an extreme situation against their SO?
This basically. If they're safe I'm good with getting roughed up. I'll take a beat so they don't have to.
I would give up my stuff, but It's the thought on their end that counts. There are security cameras everywhere and I'm sure one would have caught the robbery and I could at least file a report to the responding officer. I did get roughed up too, maybe I need to go to a hospital.Tbf, what it would do? If the robber is still there it would increase the risk, if he got away nothing could be done unless the cop is Sherlock Holmes
At a moment like this just give your stuff
Exactly my thinking as well.Since the fact I would defend my SO so they could run away, I wouldn't take offense as this would be the expected reaction.
