In Asgard's Wrath, you'll battle as a mortal and rise as a god in a Norse-inspired action adventure with a heavy helping of RPG elements. And it's coming to Rift in 2019.

Pìcs from the Oculus blog post:

Hmm. I like seeing VR titles but I'd rather see this studio continue making 3D platformers.

Ah, a minotaur, staple of Nordic mythology lol
Nah but the game at least looks interesting and ambitious. I think VR needs more of these games.

i shouldnt say it but fuck exclusives outside of games from 1st party studios. You gotta have like 5-6 platforms to play games nowadays ffs.

I'll wait until it goes on sale, they really didn't deliver with Marvel Powers United and they haven't supported the game post launch all that much.

Looks really cool, hard to tell how much was gameplay but the parrying mechanic looked neat.

As with most of the high production quality Oculus exclusives, I bet this wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the Oculus Studios publishing/funding. At least it's easy enough to play on your Vive if you have one.
Could we maybe put that in the thread title, in brackets? Just a little(Funded by Oculus)

Oculus is a platform holder, it's just like Sony funding VR games for their PSVR lol

It is ok to have PSVR games, but Oculus games should be multiplatform? Come on.

I know its not fair demanding for oculus to get their own studios, but I still do. From Sanzaru, i was really expecting their next game to be for PlayStation as well.

Read the GI article, HOOOLLLY SHIIIIIT!!!!!!

If it plays like it sounds we might finally get the first amazing full fledged action adventure VR game. 40 hour action RPG where you play as a god and posses various warriors all with special skills. One warrior has an axe which you can throw and then summon back to your hand, yup just like kratos but it's YOU doing it.

They played it and say it all plays naturally like a VR combat should. They chopped off the head of an enemy, caught the head in midair and threw the head at an enemy.

Sounds incredible. This is what VR needs.
