Really hope Cerny douses the PS5 in some last minute secret sauce and manages 12.1 TF in a photo finish victory.
Seems to be the exact same specs from the Reddit post from January. This is the exact same as the Jeux Video leak from February.
But if a developer targets 1080p for crazy raytracing effects, how will the weaker console fair? Also I feel that the raytracing features will probably not be present on the cheaper console. So games that will use mirror surfaces as a gameplay element will not work.It wont hold it back if it uses the same CPU and SSD.
GPU doesnt really matter because it will just be downscaling on the GPU resolution wise.
NVidia fucked up with 2xxx series. Now they at least 70-80% improv for gpus worth the money.12 is crazy for a console.
I almost feel like that's too close to my 2080ti lol.
Would that make you feel better about yourself or something?Really hope Cerny douses the PS5 in some last minute secret sauce and manages 12.1 TF in a photo finish victory.
Tdp for that can't be lower than 300wWait 12tf is real ??? What about all the experts commenting about thermals. That with 3.5 GHz CPU sure seems likes a great console and much more competitive with high end pc
This is the dream for me for all next gen consoles. Give me both versions of the game (streaming & digital) & let me choose how to play.Xcloud supported across all ecosystem to allow you to play a game immediately while it downloads to local storage....YESSSSSSSSSSS
He just made it up but either way i expect them to both be the same, dont expect Sony to come in at 10.
Another point:
The Lockheart is useless. For 1-2 years after a new gen, all games will be crossgen. Who in their right mind will buy a lockheart, when you can keep your one X, and play games better then the lockheart. It makes more sense to ride the one X out until games are exclusive to sclarett, then cop that.
Cerny since day one said pretty much it's gonna be more expensive than PS4, which is gonna SUCK for Non Americans, $800 in Australia here we come.
I think that is the difference they will aim for. Same exact games. Same graphics. Different resolutions and minor effects. I think both can coexist and not hold anything back much like how 1660s and 2080s exist on pc at the same time.I'm still struggling to wrap my head around the differences between the two rumoured models. I'd love to know if that just means 1080p/60fps (maybe) vs. 4-8k/60fps (maybe). Plus differences in RAM... *rubs temples*
The 4TF console is not a good idea if we want huge leap in games after the cross gen games are dead.
That seems highly specific. But if a developer targets 1080p for crazy raytracing effects, how will the weaker console fair? Also I feel that the raytracing features will probably not be present on the cheaper console. So games that will use mirror surfaces as a gameplay element will not work.
How do you mean play better? Better play i place as higher framerates and quick loading times. That will Lockhart do.

I think there needs to be a sticky on era that says "don't compare Nvidia & AMD TFLOPS"12 is crazy for a console.
I almost feel like that's too close to my 2080ti lol.
You cant compare the TF of this gen to the TF of next gen 1 on 1.The one X has more TF though? I guess the loading times would be faster, but wouldn't the framerate be better? Or is the CPU more significant in the lockheart
I just noticed that the rumor states that Lockhart has 12GB of RAM instead of 16GB for Anaconda.
It really is an entirely different SKU.
Glup. Hope Sony has some cards on the sleeve too xDI was passed this a while back from a trusted source. The info didn't match up with what I had at that time so I didn't post it.
It is obviously a joke!Would that make you feel better about yourself or something?
i don't get comments like this
It is because raytracing demands resolution sacrifices. Because the more pixels you have, the more rays you need to trace. This could definitely be a possibility. I could see how many ways mirror or reflective surfaces could be used as a gameplay element.
"Microsoft is gearing up to reveal Xbox "Scarlett" in full in the near future"
:)
How does that stack up against the latest PS5 leaks for those of us not following closely? This is the exact same as the Jeux Video leak from February.
Oh fuck."Microsoft is gearing up to reveal Xbox "Scarlett" in full in the near future"
Very near future. :)

12tflops is perfect, a huge upgrade for this gen. If PS5 is pretty much the same then I'll be more than happy. This also vindicates me holding off on buying a new PC GPU until Ampere is out, only the 2080 Ti seems to be faster than the consoles.
16GB of RAM... low? Lmao.
These are consoles, not desktop computers. They're CPU effective by design.
It doesn't work that way.I expected 10-12TF for Anaconda. Sounds amazing.
I still can't believe that Microsoft is planning to release a console in 2020 with less teraflops than their 2017 console. I sincerely hope the reporting concerning Lockhart is somehow incorrect.
