No idea of this is legit yet. Marked it as a rumor.

According to a Companies House listing, the studio - which is best known for its work on Crackdown 2 and The Master Chief Collection - was rebranded as Rockstar Dundee on October 6.

Rockstar Dundee is listed on the company's career page and was noticed by a keen-eyed Twitter user last month, but the tweet went unnoticed:

TheGamer can now confirm that this new studio is Ruffian Games under a new name.

Ruffian Games confirmed that it was working with Rockstar last year when it was looking for fresh talent to bolster its ranks. In a quote tweet, the official account put out a call for hires:

Seems like a great thing for the studio I'd imagine. Not sure what they were working on on, but it was opened by ex-Rockstar right?

Hope they get a good run at something. They have been put in a somewhat unfavourable position multiple times by MS. At least thats what it looks like from the outside.

Would be a good get, especially if the CD 2 development cycle rumors are true. They made a good game given those circumstances. Didn't they also work on CD3 too under Elbow Rocket for whatever reason?

Considering the studio is down the road from the best games university in Europe, you'll see a lot of good talent scooped by this studio. No need to get them to relocate to Edinburgh anymore.

expansion for the worldwide effort to finish GTA 6, I doubt any one Rockstar studio will ever be in charge of a game on their own

Good for those guys. From wiki it looks like MS had them helping out on Kinect games and eventually the poorly received multi of Crackdown 3, anyone who can survive that probably deserves some AAA success.

They'll only need to acquire three more full-size studios in order to be able to ship GTA 6 by the end of the generation

I would love to see more from Scottish development than Rockstar and Rockstar extensions lol but I'm glad those folks will have job security.

Hope this is good news for the delevopers. It seems they haven't been that lucky with their projects and partners in the last few years

i wish that only North and San Diego would be working on GTA VI and the other studios would be putting out their own games, but that's not gonna happen lol

Definitely could see this being for working on GTA 6 and expanding for that. Getting a team that is familiar with open world and tps

They worked on the MCC and CD3 multiplayer? Yeesh. Hopefully they find success with Rockstar.
