Yes! Hopefully it has better fans and keeps cool easier. Please let the jet engine days be behind us. My pro has been quiet but my vanilla ps4 (and most of my friends) sounds like a rocket about to take off.
My exact thoughts too. That's why I'm happy for the Series X design and I'm hoping Sony have a good plan for the PS5. I really don't care what they do for the aesthetics, just make it quiet.

That isn't an accurate depiction since it is also much shorter from the front to the back compared to most consoles. Two PS4pros would be twice as big as the XSX in overall area. This has got to be BS.

Stopped reading at "40% better ray tracing performance then Xbox" - That's just flat out wrong.
Also pretty sure they have a version of VRS in there.
I think that kinda stuff would just add unnecessary cost to the unit (however small). Same as the design being unique additions. It's just not mass Product producible sadly.
Well, the Half Life 2 Alyx/PSVR2 stuff very pointedly marks it out as bullshit also. Sony has said they will not be talking about PSVR2 around the PS5 launch, and will give breathing room between the two to avoid potentially confusing the message to consumers.
Anyone can write any kind of rumours, that are more or less credible on the face of it, but have nothing behind them. We should definitely skeptically scrutinise all this kind of stuff.
Unless it is as big as a small drawer I don't mind. I actually would welcome a cool and quiet Playstation 5 and the place where I'd put it is (where I currently have my PS4) is big enough to fit a console 4x the size of the PS4.

I stopped caring how consoles look. As long as they're silent and durable. The Pro sucks, I got used to the noise for better or worse but can't wait to replace it.
Can't see them not showing the console this coming Thursday. Once you open up the floodgates, that I do is going to leak. If Sony is worried about stuff leaking, then just show the bloody thing.

Seems fake to me because it's unlikely that external developers have seen the console.
When Sony shipped the DualSense to developers they announced the controller to avoid leaks.
Seems logic to me that they will showcase the console design when the retail units go into mass production and are shipped to developers to try their games outside of a devkit environment. Which should be in June in any case.
