Techland made a solid engine last gen iirc and PCF made the amazing Bulletstorm. Both would be great pick ups.
Ah yes, so seems like time for another acquisition going by MS' six month break.
I can definitely see PCF joining up with The Coalition especially.
Blooper is public trading company as well. While valuation isn't that big (~27M usd) only 30% of shares belong to major investors/owners. Rest are free floating. It would take lot of effort to buy them.
Not sure what you mean? Diversity in the studio or within the gamepass portofolio?Microsoft is looking for diversity, what diversity does PCF offer?
well if Microsoft bought minecraft for $2billion(?) Why not CD Project right? :D
Well, to be fair. It's not as if they have a ton of shooter studios right now. All of their acquired studios are working on RPGs, action-adventure or other genres.Microsoft is looking for diversity, what diversity does PCF offer?
Oh boy.
I would like to see it, just for the funz. But it wont happenUsing todays exchange rates CDPR valuation equals to $6,681,944,485. And MS couldn't buy it without steep premium.
they are polishing their portfolioNice enthusiasm in this thread. Should be like this everywhere. MS stepping its game up to compete.

I thought CDPR was done with Witcher.
Cool, I hope someone does.Sony is a public company so I'm sure someone will be able to look at the release of fiscal results and find something that hints at the cost.

Yeah. I wonder what people would have said if this was EA, Activision, or Google doing this...lol.
LOLI see what you did there ;)
They should totally buy CDPR just to cause a major meltdown. I loved Witcher 2 on Xbox 360.
I'm sure the won't, but they should buy CD Porjekt Red for GOG alone imo.
Turn GOG 2.0 into their gaming store
Nah. Just with Geralt
Eastern Europe is a territory ripe for fostering relatively smaller, lower cost but still talented developers that can be built up to produce a good cadence of content.
So, perfect for Game Pass.
Working relationship isnt important for Microsoft :)It's gonna be People Can Fly. They have a preexisting working relationship already and they're small enough to be an easy pickup.
Yes, but I don't think they went to Poland to buy a TPS study. I see Techland more likely.Well, to be fair. It's not as if they have a ton of shooter studios right now. All of their acquired studios are working on RPGs, action-adventure or other genres.
One more shooter studio isn't going to hurt. Especially if the shooter does something different compared to Gears and Halo.
They did that to avoid repatriating that money. It was money made in Europe that wasn't brought back to the states yet. Hatsune Miku is a very rich computer application due to that sale. That would be silly, but I thought paying 2.5 billion for Minecraft was silly, so what do I know?
No doubt, but CD Projekt values their independence too much. I could see Microsoft becoming an external partner/investor though if they're not already but I find the acquisition chances to basically be 0.
I chuckled.
