Because the only reason it won't happen is the coronavirus.
People are way ahead of themselves with their conspiracy theories. It's getting cancelled for the same reasons GDC has been postponed.

They aren't waiting until November to show more about next gen. I'm thinking they either do a giant "Inside Xbox" online event, or they hold out hope that *maybe* Gamescom happens in August (but even that is a little late)
