""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""launching""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""The RTX 3060 is """""launching""""""" this Wednesday. Meanwhile I'm still trying to get my hands on a 3080 before Cyberpunk.
Should be as always at 3pm cet.
9am eastern from what I read.
In perf/price for sure. But it's almost always the case with lower tier cards.
It was announced today.I wasn't even aware the 3060 ti was announced. Nvidia has the most confusing product lineup.
My sentiment exactly. I'm setting my sights on the next holidays when it's in the $400 range.
Confusing, but the 3060ti was an afterthought, it's using a cut-down (likely defective) 104 die, the same as the 3070. Similar to the 3090/3080 situation. In perf/price for sure. But it's almost always the case with lower tier cards.

3060Ti
Very confusing.
the wonders of binning, I guessSo the difference between a 3060 Ti and 3070 is about 8-10% in performance? For a 25% difference in price?

It's more like a 10-15% difference depending on the resolution, so exactly the same as the 2060S vs 2070S which had the same pricepoints and same performance difference. So it performs better than a 2080 Super, and we have the 3070 performing around the levels of a 2080 Ti.

They probably had a bunch of dies that weren't good for the 3070, and already had another die (106) for the 3060.
There were also rumors about an even more cut down 102 die that would make the 3070ti.
Selling the TI version before the normal one. It's more like a 10-15% difference depending on the resolution, so exactly the same as the 2060S vs 2070S which had the same pricepoints and same performance difference.
I don't get it. What's confusing about it?
"3060 ti is essentialy as fast as a 2080 super"
It also costs about as much as a used 2080 super, so I don't see the point right now
the 3060 is a different chip than the 3060 Ti. 3070 Ti should be january-ishWhy Ti before the base 3060 first? Nvidia are so confusing with their naming sometimes.
How long until the 3070 Ti Super ?
I don't really see what's so confusing about that. Ti versions have been a thing since forever. It's also not the first time a Ti released before the non-Ti version. It's just a name for a product. Could've called it 3070 SE or 3065. Would that make it less confusing? I personally don't think it would.
Should be slightly faster than XSX in raster (depends on the engine being used though), but significantly faster with raytracing enabled.Whats faster, the latest consoles or this card?
I feel like both NVIDIA and AMD have completely lost it when it comes to pricing this gen.
But they sell everything they make, so I guess they making bank at least.
Looking forward to the RTX 3050 TI for 375 euros. Followed by the RTX 3040 SUPER for 350! #Blessed #HardwareHasNeverBeenCheaper
Slightly faster in normal rasterization. Much much better in RT and an even bigger bump with DLSS.Whats faster, the latest consoles or this card?

Could be that the 3060 will have a different chip as 3060ti is a bin from 3070 chipWhy Ti before the base 3060 first? Nvidia are so confusing with their naming sometimes.

Why would 3060 get a 12gb version. If anything they'll probably just do a 6gb version and a 4gb 30503060Ti - $400
3060 12gb - $350
3060 6 gb - $300
I wonder if we'll see stuff similar to the 1660 line, which actually used the previous xx60 price range while the 2060 went higher
leaks show a 12GB variant for whatever reason. Nvidia might have got spooked by AMD or something. and those same leaks shown the 3050 with 6GBWhy would 3060 get a 12gb version. If anything they'll probably just do a 6gb version and a 4gb 3050
What does longevity have to do with your personal perception of value? If the price performance ratio generation to generation isn't relevant, what exactly is your metric here?I think that all of these new cards are overpriced and to those looking for value and longevity I would recommend sitting this generation out.
And somehow 2000 series are all still selling for MSRP or higher. These 3000 series cards really annihilated the value of the older cards.
That's always how it was. Well, there weren't any $1200 cards in the past so that's a difference. These 3000 series cards really annihilated the value of the older cards.
Only suckers are buying those, better to wait a few months. And somehow 2000 series are all still selling for MSRP or higher.
