This is a really low resolution, right now I have to use my old GTX 770 (gave my 1080 away and waiting for my friends 2080ti) and even that can pull 1920x1080 at 90fps stable.

The game is only gpu bound and the Series S has definitely a better gpu than the GTX 770.

... have they done literally no work on the PS5 version? That's exactly what the PS4 Pro version is right?

So essentially no upgrade for PS5? I thought that the PS4 Pro version already runs at 4K.

Another game on the PS5 without a 120fps?

What's keeping studios from hitting this target?

This is laughable bad, on my pc I have to use a GTX 770 (gave my 1080 away and waiting for my friends 2080ti) and even that can pull 1920x1080 at 90fps stable.
I'd imagine at the very least it's a locked 120FPS with absolutely zero fluctuations, but yeah... Sub 1080p... That's wack lmao

756p/120 is quite frankly ridiculous.

But then to top it all off after giving Rocket League its time to shine with PS+ they shit on Sony from a great height with backwards compatibility.

Super weird, I run this game at 250fps with my Gtx 1080 and i7 4790K cpu.. at 1440p

surely these consoles can do better?

Will switch to Xbox version as main SKU then. Good thing Rocket League has such amazing cross-platform integration.

So there's literally zero work been done on the PS5 version then? It sounds like it's just the PS4 Pro version.

Rocket League should just straight up upgrade to a PS5 version, like Rainbow Six Siege is.

This is absurd.
I think they will eventually --- but that is Sony forcing devs to do more work to get a feature that just works on Xbox. I mean, that sorta thing happens all the time, so I don't disagree with you. But upgrading to a native version is more work.

Sounds like a quick job to get the game out for launch (at all platforms) but hopefully they will improve over time

BC enhancements? Are they planning native next-gen builds? I presume it must be in the pipe eventually.

well, Sony wanted development to be easy! lol...This is really easy to port!

Still I would expect a next-gen patch like Fortnite and stuff, I no need to fret IMO. But you guys are crazy and this will probably be a 20 page thread, with half the people not even interested in Rocket league lol.

Of course it is more work to get a native app, but it's not like they had no idea there are new consoles coming out in November, right? Jeeez. they had it coming for months or even longer, and yet here we are with nothing. Bad.

The question is, why Rocket League can't be a Native game.

OK, but it's also not like Sony didn't know that developers would want to just run their BC games on PS5. This is how it works on PC and now on Xbox. And so because of Sony's approach to BC, PS5 owners will just have to wait until a studio can commit their limited resources to a native update.
