harmon co-ran a project called Channel 101 for decades. the premise is people make 5 minute parody TV pilots. he made a really obvious and dumb parody of the show Dexter—which is about a serial killer who kills only bad people—that was about a child molester that only molests bad babies or something. really blatantly obvious and legible joke, also obviously in bad taste, which he immediately realized and took down and apologized for. even though he took it down and apologized it's popped up every couple years or so.
I really like the qanon hashtags that person's got going on. Really makes them worth listening to.

I really enjoyed last season and the animation looks better to me this season. I wonder how many seasons they plan to go for.

If it works the same as other adult swim shows, the whole season or half-season will drop later. Before then everything can be streamed on adult swim's app.
Don't know why they chose to do this when their movies are released the same day.
I guess that's handy if you already know how adult swim's shows work on HBO, which is why I was asking.. hehe. Thanks!
because they're different "theys". WB as a movie studio is electing to release same day for many features. Adult swim and the production companies behind Rick and Morty are different companies than WB pictures. And it's already available same day on a different free app and online. Don't really get what the problem is.

So excited for this! What a quick turn around! Usually it takes two years, but that huge episode order is paying off.
A bit wild to think season 4 started in 2019, but a year and a half is quick by their pace, so I'll take it. I imagine it's also that Adult Swim wants their seasons a little more timely now that they're losing Family Guy this year
I'm always up for more R&M. It's pretty much my favorite ongoing animated show.
I wonder if they'll cut back on the multiverse stuff, though. The show leans on it a bit too much to justify the whacky storylines. That said, I still find the show very creative and well written.
