CAPCOM doesn't care at all if the models don't match. Just look at Chris in RE7 and Vendetta, both released only few months in between.

Nah. This version is much closer to what she looks like in past games compared to REmake 2. Remake's face is almost as bad as RE7 chris. Almost.
Remake is like, exactly how I'd imagine a realistically rendered Claire to look like compared to that doll face she had for a decade.

That's because the Remake is the outlier.
Rev 2 was the first attempt to de-dollify Claire and to generally make her look more human. I can absolutely imagine Rev 2 being an older version of RE2 at a higher fidelity.That's because the Remake is the outlier.
This version looks fairly similar to Revelations 2
Then I don't really get the issue with the Tv series Claire. She is so obviously based on the Rev 2 Claire.
Claire's 19 in 2. And has one of the most stressful jobs ever. Rev 2 is more than ten years later.
