Umbrella Chronicles was their attempt of an apology for that. Shame they got cold feet due to the sales of REmake and Zero and decided to rebirth the series with 4 and drop Umbrella almost entirely.

It's good! Not as good as Resident Evil 2 Remake, but pretty close! Here's our review:

8.5/10

Resident Evil 3 Remake continues to the raise the bar of what it means to be a remake. It can feel rushed in places, but the sheer terror of Nemesis and the return to form of Jill Valentine makes it an experience you don't want to miss. Just be sure to bring extra clean underwear along for the ride.

What the hell, did not expect these lower scoring reviews, though I did expect it to review worse than RE2R (RE3 was never as good as RE2). Was hoping it would have been greatly improved in terms of gameplay, content, new areas, locations, story etc.

I can see where Gamespot is coming from but a 6 seems overly hars for how competent it is in general. No
Clock Tower
really sucks though. I kept waiting for it to show up and then the credits rolled...

I gave it an 8.8, if you wanted a complete remake of everything Nemesis was, it's not that. On it's own merits though, it's a super fun campaign and experience.
