Thinking a few points lower than RE2, about 87 or 88. General quality-wise it'll be the same, but doesn't feel quite as fresh as RE2 did and, to my knowledge at least, the original RE3 isn't as loved as the original RE2 so hitting that mark isn't seen as quite as impressive.

88-91 is my bet. I won't score higher than RE2 but it'll get close I feel. Also people on this site keep acting like the stuff they didn't bring over from the original is going make the game crash and burn but keep ignoring that they've added a lot of new stuff to make up for it.

86. 2 friends already played it. They said its really good but it's short and it's almost the same as REmake2.

Can anyone shed light on the divisive changes without spoilers for the remake?

I didn't love RE3, it was an okay side story and desperately needs changing for a remake to be RE2R tier anyway.

Surely the single player experience hasnt been shortened??

I don't know why people would be mad for it being "not as faithful".
The original still exist, I'm not buying this game to have the same exact experience that I had years ago.

I don't think Resistance will be received well, but I had positive impressions coming from the main story demo. Cautiously, 80-82.

88. Won't have the lightning that RE2 did, but no reviewers are gonna care about any possible cuts or changes from the original so it shouldn't go down too much. They didn't care about those in RE2 either.

Expecting low 80s, it's not going to feel as innovative compared to RE2.

Also, not expecting this to effect the score, but fully expecting half the reviews on metacritic to have a paragraph talking about how weird/uncomfortable it is to be playing a game about a viral outbreak in the current world we live in

RE3 was my favorite in the entire series - so I'm going to be optimistic and say 87 FTW!

I feel like RE3 will probably sit around 88, might get docked a bit for being more of the same from RE2, which isn't a problem for me. Not sure if Resistance will be reviewed separately or what, it's technically a different game entirely.

I'm going to say mid-80s. it probably won't be as impressive as RE2, but it will be a solid remake and continuation of this style. Disappointing if the game is shorter, but it will still be a great experience no doubt.
