The game is more action focused. Jil is far more trained than Claire or Leon. I think an infinite knife fits more with this to expand her combat potential, and as she has the doge the anti-grab nature wasn't required as much.why did they remove knife durability in this?
and the ability to use the knife/a grenade when you're grabbed?
was there an article on this anywhere? or they just wanted to be different from RE2?
The RE: Master of Unlocking record is borked. I don't know how I even missed two when I fully explored everything.
Finally finished my first run.
Not sure what to buy for my nightmare run, I can afford the infinite assault rifle. 🤔 Overall, I had a good time with the game. That final boss sequence was fucking dope as hell.FINGeR > BFG, fucking love me some railguns.
No.I managed to afford unlocking the Infinite handgun. If I replay the game now and use it, does it lock out any trophies/achievements or similar?
I couldnt wait anyway, i am on my 3rd playthrough so :D

lol, already? Shirtless mod for Jill coming when? :D
Not really too much (a little) the game is all about being pushed forward and getting out of there ASAP. It's flavour is different from RE2R. While RE2R is about exploration and atmosphere etc. The flavour of RE3 is more panic stricken, and surviving on a knife's edge.
If RE2 was Alien. RE3 is Aliens on Steroids.
Thanks. I have a habit of trying to get every single item so I'll keep this in mind. No, once you reach certain points in the story you get locked into new areas.
Maybe the third one is the blue gem? I'm spitballing here cause I've only made him drop two crates. So Nemesis doesn't drop anything while he has the RPG so I really don't know where else this supposed third weapon part can drop. Does Nemesis actually drop three weapon parts or am I just missing one somewhere else in the game?
He only drops two parts. Following crates are just resources - I think shotgun shells and grenade ammo, but maybe it's random. So Nemesis doesn't drop anything while he has the RPG so I really don't know where else this supposed third weapon part can drop. Do you have two shotgun upgrades already? I can't remember if one of them was dropped by Nemesis or if I picked up both.So Nemesis doesn't drop anything while he has the RPG so I really don't know where else this supposed third weapon part can drop. But I do know both my handgun and my shotgun took two slots by the time I got to the RPG part.
I know Nemesis for a fact drops two crates, the last shotgun upgrade is at the Kendo gun shop.
I noticed once I started comparing it to the OG that's where my personal score drops dramatically. On it's own 2020 reimagining its a solid 8.5 leaning towards a 9, I think I'm halfway through I just reached the hospital and it's been a blast. The game leaves you wanting for more and that's where it fails because they could've added a few more things and it would've been goat.I played quite a bit yesterday. It's not the game I wanted. It's barely RE3. It's a great game, though.
jesus fucking christ, is Nemesis suppose to be so relentless, he just shows up, he's fast as fuck, he seems to teleport.
mr X you at least heard
There's an audio cue when you're near one.I remember finding a good amount of bobble heads on my own in RE2 but I've only found the one in RE3 so far. I'm exploring a lot, as usual. They must be well hidden or I'm just not seeing them. No biggie though.
Can't wait to play more later.
This is what happens when studios put most of their efforts in the visual department. Even RE2 has lots of cut content.I thought i was being a contrarian by believing remake 2 wasn't as good as the original, but this is for sure a straight downgrade compared to the original in almost every way except visuals obviously, it's frustrating seeing that casino/bar map in Resistance & thinking it could have been a good replacement for the diner in remake 3, a remake is suppose to expand on the original, this just straight out cuts half the game & poorly replaces it with the RE2 sewer & another boring lab.
This should have been a $30 DLC for RE2 called Jill's story, this isn't even worthy of the title Nemesis since there is really only one short part that he chases you through the city, it's disappointing that a PS1 game feels more advanced with a more connected/larger city with a monster constantly chasing you, all the ideas for a next gen RE3 that were not possible on older hardware got thrown out the window.
Aside the train route planner, none of the others are puzzles, they all fetch quests. Bring thing to thing, or go get answer and use answer on thing.Sometimes I feel like I'm playing a different game. There are puzzles. Rerouting the train tracks, making the vaccine, finding the jewels for the clock tower monument, looking for the first safe code etc. That is in addition to the multiple lock and key puzzles. There is also some back and forth through the areas. You need to explore to find the fire hose to get to the substation. There you get the wire cutters and lock pick allowing you to access new areas downtown. It's all a bit smaller scale for sure but it's still there.
That isn't the last shotgun upgrade.I know Nemesis for a fact drops two crates, the last shotgun upgrade is at the Kendo gun shop.
