Well, I have played it on PS4. So if it's still in the store I'm fine.
4 wasn't survivor horror though. Enemies gave you ammo and you did roundhouse kicks in non-atmospheric settings
No wonder we can't have HUD options, someone at Polygon would accidentally disable the five billion item markers, run out of bullets in two rooms and score that shit 3/10.
This is a lie, RE4 is extremely atmospheric and is a survival horror in a different kind of way.

Cause it's literally the same thing, the gap between 93 and 100 isn't as big as you think, there's basically no difference in quality here.
God of War (94) isn't any worse than RDR2 (97) in terms of its quality and design.

RE4 was an action horror game. It wasn't about trying to survive in any means possible by finding precious ammo or avoiding zombies. You had to kill everything to finish the game.
It had atomsphere and everything but it absolutely not the same.

Yeah the idea that 4 didn't have atmosphere in spades for Village (and lesser extent Castle) is bullshit.

To be fair would you not say that it's definetley in a post-4 world that people started to sub-divide genres more so rather than Survival Horror there was Action Horror etc?
