You should maybe clarify that the Western versions of RE4 don't have JP language support actually. JP vs Western versions are separated SKUs.
That's a good point. Kinda hoping its 30 FPS now.We don't want RE4 to be 60 FPS as it will mess with the QTEs. The QTEs are programmed to the framerate.

The Western release has "French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, English" and the Japanese version only has Japanese.
...and 1080p too, yes?The ports are all based off of modern console releases in terms of features, visual/texture fidelity, and in RE4's case performance. So yes, short answer is RE4 runs at 60fps.
Which button opens the inventory in RE4!? It better not be the + or - button!!! >:-(The ports are all based off of modern console releases in terms of features, visual/texture fidelity, and in RE4's case performance. So yes, short answer is RE4 runs at 60fps.

When it went up for preorder I saw the price, winced, and then bought it immediately.
I am basically the problem.
Best usage of a GIF I've ever seen on this site.
Hey, someone from capcom usa...maybe tell your bosses that consumers on the Switch aren't idiots, and I'm not paying $30 for a digital only release, of a 15 year old game, which has been $20 on multiple other platforms numerous times. The ports are all based off of modern console releases in terms of features, visual/texture fidelity, and in RE4's case performance. Well i hope the QTE issue isn't a thing on the switch version for RE4 now that we know it's 60.
Ah, I see. Thx for all the info you are providing here anyway tho! :)Sorry, I did not check at the time. I only looked out for baseline features in relation to recent console versions.

I don't recall what was added to Revelations on Switch. Isn't it the same as the other console releases?"Guys we added a bunch of weird shit to revelations switch and we had better than expected sales"
"If we add nothing to RE4 switch we will have even better sales, this is the pattern as I understand it."
That's nifty, how's handheld resolution. 720p?
Gyro aiming and an optional reload mechanic using the IR sensor on the right joycon.I don't recall what was added to Revelations on Switch. Isn't it the same as the other console releases?
Oh, okay. They could've carried over that to RE4 I guess but it wouldn't justify the price still IMO.Gyro aiming and an optional reload mechanic using the IR sensor on the right joycon.
I'll septuple dip when on sale. Been spoiled by the 19.99 price point on the last 3 versions of RE4 I bought.
I think it is a port of that version. Two questions. Is RE4 a port of the Gamecube or PS2 version? Are some of the reload animations still stuck at 30 FPS like on the PS4/ Xbone versions?

I should have specified that there's a split in the different versions of the game. The PC, Playstation and Xbox versions all come from thr PS2 version while the Wii version comes from the Gamecube version. The only real difference is that the audio was compressed and killed surround sound in the PS2 version and that has gone on to impact the HD versions. It's one of the reasons why I still consider the Wii version the best because it sounds a lot better. They're one and the same. The Gamecube and PS2 didn't run faster that 30 fps; and the reason why the new versions certain animations are locked to 30 comes from its roots on the Gamecube.
