Yep. No need to run away from the policies your base wants in responseAt this point I don't think it matters what dems call it
Like shit, Republicans managed to paint Joe Biden as a scary socialist. Having a D next to your name puts a target on your back more than your actual policies IMO
At this point I don't think it matters what dems call it. Embrace the hard left ideology and fuck the GOP

I agree unfortunately. The average american voter is terrified of that headline
Corporate democrats are just trying to deflect the blame after they got their preferred candidate, lost the senate and nearly lost the house, and barely beat the shittiest president ever.
He might be wrong but Defund the Police is still a terrible ass slogan/marketing for what you're trying to actually do.
progressive issues have to come off as moderate message wise but way more liberal once the bills come. That helps to normalize the issue. That's the thing I wish more leftist people would understand with these issues. People are fucking stupid and reactionary you have to soften the message but behind the scenes make the legislation more liberal. That also helps to normalize the issue. It's a terrible slogan, anyone who thinks the opposite is living in an internet bubble.
It was poor messaging and people should've run with a better slogan after how bad it was polling nationwide.
Yeah people are adverse to the message, while the same means and outcomes can happen when the legislation comes. This is effective messaging to push general public forward. Also why Medicare for all plays way better than trying to say public option etc.Refocus the police
Reinforce police priorities
Boom, two slogans that don't sound nearly as abrasive as defund the police and better explain what the point of the movement is.
Disheartening. Dem leadership needs to go in hard like cement. We set the record for most house seats lost in a year while still winning the presidency.
We were expected to increase our margin but lost 8 seats.
Sure but that is part of why the message is so poor. I wouldn't even use police in the slogan.Divest the police is better, but honestly it's a policy that doesn't lend itself well to slogans considering it really needs to be explained to be understood that it's not just punishing police by taking their money away.
