Yeah, I'm no expert, but the vaccine isn't some magic cloak of invulnerability. I thought it protects against severe symptoms, but it doesn't prevent catching it, testing positive and spreading the virus.

It's a principled stance, consistent with how Omar operates. She probably loathes the implication of young, healthy congresspeople being prioritized before millions of genuinely vulnerable Americans, regardless of the optics of congresspeople demonstrating the safety of the vaccine.
Her political instincts have never been what I'd call the best.

Reminder that Baked Alaska was covid positive at the riot and was pretending to call people on Pelosi's phone. They better have sent a hazmat team through the offices, this had to be a superspreader event, people were packed in those halls screaming and chanting without masks on for hours on end.
Now that I look at it I see why someone might see part of that as a slur, though that couldn't be further from my intention. Fixed either way though.
