Literally, the ONLY thing I used Facebook for was PS4 Share screenshots. Now how do I share 100s of mediocre Spider-man selfies to people who don't care?
Yuck lolAh right. Well...back to taking a picture with your phone, then. Lol.
You can use the PlayStation App for that tooSo this means no more custom avatars, right? Not a big loss, as only your close friends could see it anyways. I hope this is something we get on PS5, Xbox lets you upload a custom avatar and everyone can see it.
More recent versions of Just Dance made it harder to export your recordings, so it was easy to rely on the Facebook posts to generate something I could extract and save.if i remember right that was the easiest way to upload pics isnt?
Why just why? How are we supposed to see close friends and their real names then? Posting videos and screenshots to facebook was one of the eaistest things to do.
Sony did not offer an explanation for the removal of Facebook integration on PS4, but we've reached out to the company for more information. In 2018, Facebook said that it was restricting how third-party companies could use its members data, and specifically named two partners, Sony and Microsoft, as companies that accessed some Facebook data, as a result of a software bug, even after Facebook had shut down certain integrations.

I hate Facebook too, but you could just not use it lmfaoGlorious.
Fuck Facebook. I don't want to see that logo on my PS4.
Yes. What I would do is upload a screenshot privately so that only I could see it, then upload it to a sharing site to show it off where I needed to. Now I don't know how I'd even do the same. I don't want to make a tweet to post a screenshot on this forum, for example.

Yeah, but that's why it's a pain. Now I'd need to capture a shot and upload it to my USB key, then take the USB key and plug it into my PC to then upload it to an image host. It's a step I only took when I needed to upload a lot of screenshots/media at once. But for individual screenshots? That's an annoyance. Compression wasn't really an issue since the shots I was sharing there were to show something specific.- You can copy it to a USB drive.
- Upload it though the What's New section on the PS4 and save it using a browser on the myPlayStation site.
USB is the recommended way by the way. Facebook, Twitter and even the myPlayStation sites compress the hell out of the image.
Same haha.Well, nothing of value to me was lost since I closed down my Facebook.

Yeah it's good to take away option from people who use it just to make you happy, an option that you can just ignore. I don't use it but I don't get this stupid takes
Kotaku is reporting that it's because they are still finalizing their contract. FB responded not Sony.

(Update 4:58pm—A spokesperson for Facebook provided the following statement: "We're working with Sony to finalize an updated contract designed to improve the Facebook integration on PlayStation. While these discussions are in progress, Facebook features will not be available on PlayStation 4. We hope to bring these features back as soon as our teams reach agreement.")
