So with the rise of games going to $70 it reminds me of when some SNES and N64 games went up to $80. I remember when Chrono Trigger was $80 and Street Fighter II was $70. Also I remember many of Midway and Acclaims games being $70 and $80 like Mortal Kombat and NBA Jam. Though Nintendo games on SNES and N64 were usually at $60. The big reason for this was cartridge manufacturing for SNES and N64 were expensive compared to CD's. It was wild seeing new PlayStation games at $50 and SNES games being $60 to $80. The big difference now is games have DLC and special editions of games.
