Better late than never, I guess they solved whatever issue they had.
they want to enjoy the 2 weeks to celebrate the launch of the game first.
That was never true, developers were already able to transfer saves from PS3 to Vita to PS4. It probably takes a lot more work than it does on Xbox though.
I am speculating here but it sounds like to me that you will need to upload the save inside the PS4 version of the game and then download it on the ps5 version of the game. So as long as you still have your ps4 game you can install ps4 version of spiderman, download save from ps+, and then upload it to the spidecloud, and then download it inside of your ps5 spiderman client.

Hrm. I plan on re-playing it again, but I wonder how importing a completed save works. Would it just spend the next ten minutes popping all the trophies?

Awesome news. Glad I'll be able to use my old save file for New Game+ and not have to replay from scratch. Now I'm definitely gonna replay the original story before jumping into Miles. Props to the team for hearing folks out...
