The best thing about how much I worked out as a kid is that even after doughing up a bit I can get toned again in about a week I have about 2.5 months to get extra fit for my cosplay.

It's very long and annoying cause I have to put it up and blast it with hairspray every day

I don't want a super short haircut, but at least a few inches off. My getting ready routine will be so much easier

I cut my hair recently and it made my life much easier.

That does seem much more manageable than before, plus it looks great on you.

You never beat Kuja in a single fight that entire game. Fact.

Best FF villain.

I love the Kuja love!~

Dude is the only person in that world who can cast Ultima. He can wear what he wants.

He also gets a badass fight theme at the end. Seriously one of the best tracks in the series.

Yes yes yes yes. All yes. Kuja my love.

Holly The cut looks great on you :)

That's about the length I was looking at doing too. I have kind of a fat face though so too short looks bad.

I love the new length! I really need a haircut, but I have a couple of new cartilage piercings, and they never make it through a haircut without being yanked with a comb no matter how much I warn the hairdresser. I think it's time to go see if there are any youtube videos about cutting your own hair. Worst case scenario is that I'd have to get it fixed.

BTW -- I went back to That Thread and somehow, it seems to have gotten even worse.

Love the new hair style Holly, looks great! You're before length is actually what I've been trying to achieve for years but not getting very far at it so I've given up, I've settled for it reaching the lower part of my upper back, about right where my bra strap sits.

Love your haircut Holly. Is it a lot of work? Meaning do you need to blow dry? I'm looking for a new cut but I really don't have the time or desire for anything that involves blow drying lol

Not a lot, its really manageable. I strughle mostly with having to really beat my scalp up due to sea spray, but most days I have to pull it back due to navy regs.

I normally pull my hair back into a bun right now but I'm kind of scared I'm giving myself a receding hairline by doing that so I've gone back to a braid. I love your, I don't know what you'd call it, side bangs?

Thank you. I'm awful at making decisions. I literally just told the girl, "just make it shorter but not short short but still cute!"

On another topic, i'm getting into a lot of true crime podcasts lately. I've gone through Serial, Somebody knows something, Who killed Alberta Williams, In the Dark and (currently listening to) Real crime Profile

Any other true crime fans that can recommend me another?

My Favorite Murder! Two hilarious ladies who love true crime. I think they're great, but I have a friend who prefers to listen to more serious true crime stuff so if you're the same this will be a terrible rec for you. MFM has a lot of banter, but I like them because they're still respectful when it comes to actually getting down to talking about murders. It helps that they're actually funny.

Also has anyone listed to 'My dad wrote a porno' podcast. I only found it a few months back. It is hysterical and highly recommend it.

I love Alice on My Dad Wrote a Porno! She's my favorite, just hilarious. I'm only about... 6 chapters in, and it's ludicrous.

As for true crime, I really like Criminal. Each episode is standalone, and Phoebe Judge has a really soothing NPR voice. A lot of my friends were hooked on Dirty John; I read the LA Times articles that the podcast was based on. And, of course, My Favorite Murder!

RIGHT! so funny, Alice is fantastic. It just gets more and more ludicrous, and the interviews they have are great as well. I'm just about finish season 3 now. Its still crazy funny, but the later eps you can tell the dad did some research lol poor James

and thanks for the recommendations :)

That's usually considered the second, less common plural form; the more common plural form is simply "penises." Though according to Strunk and White's classic text, rules fall before what we think sounds good and in common vernacular on a forum, "penii" is fine.

I can do this all day. And will.

Are you the alt of my husband.

Holly - love the hair :)

Pirate Bae that was a glorious post
thank you so much
Yeah, it really, really was. I'm one of those lurkers who learned a lot from watching discussions unfold early on in my time spent on the forum, so your voices are definitely worth it even when you don't make progress with the person you are rebutting. I used to think some of the arguments like "Guys are sexualized too!" and "It's her choice to wear a bikini into war!" actually had merit until the words of women made me rethink. All it took was simply listening to y'all but I guess that's just too much for some people.

Maybe that's the key to making something positive out of threads like that, the posters who are resistant to just listening to women, even when they are being told directly how something makes you feel, are going to be the ones engaging and posting. The ones who actually are listening are doing just that and not posting much. I like the idea of just posting generally instead of addressing each individual person coming at you. Better for your sanity and really, anyone who attempts to refute an account of how something makes you personally feel is wrong by default. You can't tell someone how they should feel about something or that their feelings are wrong so anyone who tries isn't worth engaging with.

Holly your hair looks great and your before pic reminds me of my daughter's before we cut it off. She was 4 and a half when we did it and that was her first haircut.

That is a glorious Kuja, I love those colors.

An adventure game with a female main character is free today.

https://www.resetera.com/threads/syberia-is-free-on-gog.5097/

She's ....really rather terrible in this game, but. I dunno. By the end she....sorta improves a little?

I really don't like this game actually. I really wanted to, I love adventure games. I think it partly suffers from being translated weirdly and poorly voiced, but I also didn't find the puzzles all that engaging and the story tries for sentimental but just comes off as nonsensical. Sentient automatons? Woolly mammoths? I don't know, just didn't click for me I guess.

Quick unrelated question for y'all --

how would anyone feel about a subscription box thread?

Also I always get tons of stuff I don't use. I really want to start giving it away because otherwise I'm going to toss it. T___T. Are any of you interested in (free) stuff or should I keep that clutter in a subscription box thread?

Also love adventure games, never got around to playing Syberia! Thanks for the heads up.

Also, thanks to all of you lovely women for fighting the good fight in that other thread. Makes me feel a bit more like posting and lurking less.

I wouldn't mind a thread like that/trying some stuff out but I always feel really guilty getting free things >_<

PSA: It is FRIDAY

\o/
Not yet.

I'm in a stabby mood though.

QueenVulpix - oh god don't be. I don't expect anything in return, I love giving gifts, and I hate throwing things away.

You'd be doing me a favor. SERIOUSLY.

And I mean this not in a stuck up way but matter of fact way-- TBH I often have really nice things and that makes me even more loath to toss it. So... yeah.

As long as your sure and it's not a burden for you as I always hate imposing on anyone >_<

I'd definitely follow a subscription box thread. It'd be nice to see impressions before choosing to sub something. And to get ideas since I don't really know what's out there. The only thing I subscribe to right now is a crafting kit. I look forward to it every month.

I don't have my box yet from what I sub to... but spoilers ARE out so I'm going to make the thread now. :D

*edit: when I get home.

I would love to learn more about the food subscription services. I remember trying some in the past, but I don't remember which ones.
