I haven't seen much talk about this but I think the capture quality you get from the PS5 is amazing. I did a manual recording in 4K60 of some Demon's Souls and passed it to mediainfo:
Coming from the base PS4 where it was capped at 720p with a bad encoder and nowhere close to enough bitrate, going from that to 4K60 using VP9 at close to 50Mbps is phenomenal. It sucks for video editing because FCPX doesn't support VP9 (yet; Apple seems to have finally seen the light a little bit with Big Sur) but I can live with it for now. Really happy with this.
