Capcom trying to cash in. The ability to play these type of games in portable mode must be most devs justifying asking more compared other more powerful hardware.

I was hoping to buy RE4 since I've never played it and cannot play my steam copy due to my PC being broken but $30 for it is way to much.

Why are these up for preload already? Don't they not come out until May?

I'm not sure why everyone is mad, remember that Switch carts cost mo-... Oh wait..

This keeps getting worse and worse.

Eh, people gladly bought NSMBUD and Tropical Freeze for 60$ each, so this is nothing new.
Inb4 "the portability factor" and "there's a market for them!"

Just for a comparison on how dumb this is atm (unless they update the pricing).

Dragons Dogma is $30 in the West and will be physical.

All of these games cost $30 and atm only RE0 will be physical.

What is going on over at capcom to justify this?

Cart tax strikes again. Great thing about it is it's good on digital only releases too.

Yeah I'll wait for a sale. I was excited for portable RE4, but I'm not that excited.

Overpriced. In the PS4 REmake was free with the plus, RE4,RE5,RE6 Bundle I bought it at 15$.
Its funny that some people say that the "on the go" factor justifies the value but before Switch all portable games were cheaper than console games.

One of the greatest action games ever created. If you never played it before it is worth every penny. The quality, length, and variety on offer is worth it.
Same can be said about every other game from the 90s that is sold <$10 on gog.

RE0, RE1, RE4 are worth $20 each. That is their MSRP on other consoles. There is absolutely no reason the price should increase 10$.

Even after my distaste over the whole only RE0 on cart thing, I was still playing around with the notion of at least getting RE4, but they're out of they're goddamned minds if they think I'm paying $30 when they launched PS4/XB1 ports (physically, even!) for $20.

Seems like buying the (semi) physical copy of the Origins collection is the way to go if you want RE0 & REmake because I would imagine it'll $40 (at the very least it won't be $60). If RE4 is a good port AND has the Wii controls then I can swallow the $30 pill.

Thats a weird comparison - not like you can get those games for cheaper on other current-gen systems.
Also Tropical Freeze and co. added at least something - while the RE titles are straight up ports that launched for cheaper on other systems and have been on sale a bunch of times.

Also these games were limited to the WiiU and its tiny install base - RE games are on every other system and only having those ports/Remasters being more expensive on Switch of all systems is just weird.

Its like Capcom going out of their way to limit their Switch business potential. With every step forward they take two back.

This is surprising, they've had price parity with all their other recent releases no?
Why not this time around..
