Hmm.. might be worth looking into. I have stopped playing because it has gone so far from the original Siege, it was no fun for me. I miss vanilla Siege.

Vanilla Operators are still some of my go tos.

Man, I wish I hadn't qualified right after the new season started. That was awful. It's better now, but still more team killing and quitters in Ranked than I can remember having in the past.

Game is still a blast, years later.

Anybody finding the game loads a lot more ever since the Ubisoft connect thing? It takes me a solid 10-15 minutes to connect to the servers on launch, and then several more minutes of "validating and updating" after matches, I can play the actual game fine once I'm in a match, but the connection seems super jank in menus, it's always trying to do something.

I've been on a 15 lose streak in this game tonight. I don't know wtf is happening. 😂

Also, I've just made it to tier 50 of the battle pass. Not sure if I'll be able to finish it. :/

Seems like, while playing on PS4, every second time I get killed the kill cam shows my killer clearly using a mouse with lightening turning and reaction speed. Fucking shit is ruining the game for me.

Yellow ping is by far the best thing they added to game.



Also, Golden Gun is back, is nice time to pop up a booster and farm there for renown and battle pass xp.

If it makes you feel any better, all the legendary alpha packs from this battle pass have been duplicates for me. As for black ice skins, I've gotten 3 duplicates one in this battle pass too. The only new one I did get was for Frost/Buck's pistol.

Ranked Match Cancellation
  • A vote to cancel a match can only be triggered during the Preparation Phase in the first round of the match.

  • The vote is still decided by the majority, with ties going in favor of a cancel.

  • FIXED – Attackers can use 2 drones to push the planted defuser inside the objective room.
  • FIXED – Environmental destruction is not replicated for a player who joins an in-progress match.

I was playing Ace nonstop this weekend because I knew the smokes were going away. It happened to be perfect timing it seems. His kit with smokes was too good really but now I can come back home to Thermite.

This event is pretty boring so far. Every round the team takes the canister into that upstairs toilet / laundry area.

Not a fan of this event either. I ended up getting Rook's head piece from the free alpha pack. Honestly, all I want is Maestro's rainbow mohawk.

To me, it's very disappointing that they do not include challenges to unlock another free event alpha pack like they used to do. I do like that you can buy the outfits now with money if you want to, but I miss my challenge event alpha pack rewards.

In other news, I've finally completed the battle pass! Just in time too because Dead by Daylight is adding their next battle pass later today. Man, these battle passes are killing me lol.

And I know the matches with OXG and TSM were technically close but I thought OXG could have taken the second map and gone to OT on the third. TSM has a tough road ahead against LATAM.

Yeah, pretty much my thoughts too. Did you watch the TSM vs Team Liquid game? It was quite something.

I wish Oregon wasn't so incredibly one sided but that was still amazing just because of how Team Liquid were just on it the whole time and so dominant after Chalet. Five straight wins on attack for Liquid is nuts. I wish we'd gotten Coastline instead of Kafe but I remember the casters saying taking LATAM teams there was asking for trouble.

And now with Team Liquid going 2-0 over MIBR I think they could claw back and take it even one map down.

I think the new OP looks great. Not big on the .308 but the gadget will be fun. A couple for anchors, and one for roamers, and Thunderbird herself has the kit for roaming.

How's everybody feeling about the global balance changes? I'm not a high level player but I think they're certainly interesting. I do think it's easy to zone out while you're dead, and I appreciate having more things to do during support phase. Balance-wise, it seems like they know they're upending 5 years of Siege gameplay and they're being careful about it though.

Edit: quick glance at impressions on Reddit are, uh, not positive. Lots of accusations of Ubi dumbing down the game. Not everybody is a plat with 2000 hours. I'm personally of the opinion that Siege is way too complicated as is.

The dead bodies replaced by icons I do not like. I'd rather they have server-side corpses instead but I do understand why the change is coming.

No sign of the Goyo change, but the Melusi change seems a little harsh. I like that the gadget is vulnerable to bullets when it's active but I think the flaps should still block from weapons fire. So shooting it from the side is a little obscured but from head on its an easier target.

The Mira change is fine I think. Saves you a smoke but also attackers have a hard time just walking up to a Mira window anyway so if they get there that's on who is playing behind the window. Depends on where the window is I guess, I never put them on external walls.

Kinda rough for Maestro but I guess you can't be as aggressive with Evil Eye placement anymore.

Oh yeah I forgot about the corpse change. The icon replacement fix is awful. I get it, but god it's such a heavy-handed way of fixing the problem.

I think the Melusi change is fine. If it's placed in a decent location that will make the attacker look to shoot, it can still be effective as a distraction. It can't just be plopped down in the middle of a hallway and slow down a push if you don't have explosives. Maybe it can be balanced by how quickly/slowly the flaps open to make it vulnerable.
