As mentioned by David Cage, former Eidos Monteal head Stephane D'Astous will be the general manager.

Gross. GTFO my town

Edit:
When asked how Quantic Dream will foster a healthy work environment in its new studio, Cage first said that "all allegations about our studio have been indisputably proven wrong by verifiable facts, independent audits, the French Labor Court, state agencies, independent journalistic investigations, and by our employees themselves."
What a lying clown. That's not what happened at all.

If you've never seen them, you can see some of the examples of the 600 sexist, racist and homophobic photoshopped images that were found at this link. Not gonna share any for obvious reasons.

But, yeah. Employee photoshopped in nazi uniform (hilarious! this is the one that successful got a pay out btw, which QD have brushed off as 'a security obligation'), heads photoshopped onto porn etc.

Obviously this was all 'proven wrong by verifiable facts and audits' though. Just normal workplace stuff. You know, guy stuff.

Always worth sharing this anecdote about Cage, too...

One incident involved a burglary caught on CCTV. After watching, Cage allegedly asked an employee of Tunisian origin, "Is that a cousin of yours?"

Since my main issues with Quantic Dream games come from Cage himself, I'd actually be more interested in games from a secondary studio than I would be from the main one.

Will this have a more or less sexist, racist and homophobic work environment than their main studio?

This will create more jobs, but you can't just brush aside the type of working environment this likely comes with. Cage is brushing things off and refusing to address things in his usual awful way, of course.

Hope to see new amazing games from Cage! I loved Detroit, Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls, this guy really knows how to make an adventure.

Ok but did some court decided against them or has it all been just swept under the rug?

Canard PC published an article in March of 2020 (following that awful paper from Dean Takahashi). No paywall but in French (DeepL seems to do an okay job)

www.canardpc.com

Also there is still a lawsuit going on between Quantic Dream and Mediapart + Le Monde for defamation. It was supposed to happen in May of this year but a) no news if QD dropped it or not and b) COVID probably pushed the date to 2056 by now.

Edit:

First of all, there is a truncated presentation of the consequences of the affair of the insulting photomontages. Four employees of the IT department had opted for a procedure known as "taking note" [note: Sorry, translating French law terms is way above my skills!], so that their departure would be requalified, to the detriment of the company, as a dismissal (with indemnities, therefore). Out of four requests, two were refused (one of the employees appealed), one was validated (this fact is never mentioned in the articles; Quantic Dream appealed) and the last resulted in a kind of sharing of the blame: the court recognized the "homophobic, misogynistic, racist or even profoundly vulgar" nature of some of the photomontages and the company's responsibility, but it also ruled that the precise image concerning the employee was not as serious. The act was therefore not recognized as a dismissal, but Quantic Dream was indeed fined 5,000 euros for moral prejudice. The former employee chose to appeal.

I wonder if Quantic Dream could make a game that is not mystery based. Maybe fantasy type games with the same type of gameplay?

Did Sony drop them because of their scandals? Because after reading the articles...wow. Who is giving them money? Tencent?

They were never really Sony's to 'drop' afaik.

This stuff all came out before they released Detroit. They just kept their heads down, promoted the game and waited for it to blow over. I don't think Sony ever commented on it.

They had successful 3 game deal with Sony, and after that QD moved to multiplatform development. Controversy started building up in public after Detroit Become Human.
