Pyra and Mythra (from Xenoblade 2) announced for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Releases in March!

It's because Bayonetta is a sexually aware woman, and Pyra doesn't really seem like she is intentionally sexy.
That being said, Pyra is a good character, as is Mythra, and Xenoblade 2 gets unrightfully shit on for admittedly a little too fan service designs.

The problem wasn't that Min Min was chosen, but rather that Sakurai didn't even consider Twintelle.
It's probably because Xenoblade 2 was the breakout success for the series.
I too can't believe a Japanese developed game is using Japanese characters.
Homura/Pyra and Hikari/Mythra are more popular worldwide. Not to mention that X is not even ported at all.

Pyra never had a boob window. Well not a bare skin one. She has that shrink wrap black boob window. Doesn't look like they changed it.

Min Min was my main in ARMS, so I'm glad she made it in too. Honestly would have preferred Twintalle though, but Chinese representation is also good.
It's Xenoblade 2. Practically everyone is maximum anime, fanservicey, pandering otaku bullshit to the max.
I'm shocked that Morag who is dope as fuck and not sexualized in the least comes from the same game.
Doc Louis, Cherry Hunter, Rodin (though his Assist Trophy is a huge hurdle), & Marina come to mind.
Timing just doesn't work either. Elma's biggest chance was back in Smash 4 when Corrin was added as a promotional character. Second would have been Smash Ultimate's non-DLC roster. After that there was just no chance for her - they were gonna go with XC2 cause it's more recent.
It's a shame cause Elma would have been a more unique fighter but I knew she was done for her after she didn't get in the base game.
There was also that racist boss in Kirby Super Star, which wasn't fixed until Sakurai left HAL.
Urbosa is Arabic-coded, which we could still use considering that the only Arabic character in Smash is the literal King of Evil.

Cherry Hunter would be cool as well, but don't see it happening. If by some miracle SoR actually got a rep, they'd probably go with Axel. The best bet would be that they somehow went for Adam instead.
Rodin would be cool, but yeah the Assist Trophy is a problem.
A Pearl and Marina duo like Ice Climbers would be cool. I don't see them adding just Marina by herself.
Still terrible designs, but hey, what can you do. They are part of the Xenoblade universe, and more Xenoblade is always good.
Gonna try to find it but I remember when first talking about Smash Ultimate on this forum there was a poster very upset that xenoblade 2 wasn't getting a fighter in the base roster and it's odds of ever getting anything more we're shit.

I only know her as the scantily clad animu chick from that animu game. Voice acting just as stilted as expected. But hey, her gameplay seems great, so there's that?
