Sadly not.
Microsoft couldn't find the resources to make it happen at launch after more than 2 years of owning the studio
I have exactly the same issues.I've just loaded it up and noticed a few issues. Some stuttering occurs when you do your first of each attack type, but smooths out overtime. Sometimes having enemies load in causes a stutter as well.
The weirdest one though is that your camera movement is tied to the framerate cap in display settings I think? So when you have vsync on, the camera only pans smoothly if framerate is set to 60fps (native refresh of my tv), even unlimited causes more jittery motion. I know this may seem like a small thing but usually framerate caps don't need to be switched on in conjunction with the vsync cap, so seems odd
How exactly do I turn on 120hz mode? New Xbox owner, a bit confused. I enabled 120hz on the Xbox settings, but the game goes back to 4k@60fps automatically.
Edit: Figured it out, had to disable "Allow 4K" in the settings. I guess this is because the game doesn't have a mode selector and will default to 4K output? Kind of weird.
I noticed disabling the option also did away with HDR. Not ideal.
Same here.Something kinda feels off with the combat, I'm having trouble avoiding damage a lot.
This happens on PC too. Usually when I first enter a new large area. Swinging the camera 360 fixes it for me.Does anyone notice stuttering when panning the camera around on the XSX?
GrrImAFridge Good work with the OT. If I may do one suggestion. There is a Psychonaut 1 official story recap video, too.
See above :)
I really want to play this immediately but I feel like I need to finish off playing Psychonauts 1 first. Guess you'll have to wait a few more days, Psychonauts 2.
Pretty positive impressions in here. It's making me want to skip replaying 1 and just jump into 2.
Man this just makes me wish we had a psychonauts show or movie. And it would probably have to be Tim Burton I guess
I agree
Yeah, that framerate toggle only showed up after I disabled "Allow 4K" in the Xbox settings because the game was defaulting to 4K despite the resolution being set to 1440p in the settings as well.I'm on Series S and it absolutely has a mode selector toggle in the game settings. It's a max framerate toggle, the first option under Display. 60 or 120.

This is the same for me.Game has been very good so far. I really enjoy all the characters. For some reason the performance of cutscenes is terrible though. I usually get 120fps easy during gameplay at 4K on a 3090 but cutscenes plummet down to 70-90 and stutter badly. Very weird
Having this exact problem as well. Except I DID complete the title in the allotted time, but there was no time to collect the prize before the next section started and then finished the story and kicked me out of the brain. So now...? Seems like a bug, but maybe just missing something obvious somehow?Questions about a collectible while revisiting a particular mind: Compton
1. is there a way to replay the contests after beating the level?
2. I totally flubbed putting together the 3rd dish in the cooking show within the time limit, and I read somewhere the baggage tag I'm missing was the prize, but upon revisiting from the collective unconscious there's a locked prize and no apparent way to open it with the game show trappings missing.
I guess I just don't get the flame power. Does it not shoot? Does it just go out a few feet in front of your character? Feel like I need to get too close to the enemies it's supposed to kill and I get hit a lot.
It's an AoE attack that you charge up and release. Depending on how upgraded it is, it's either goes in front of you a bit, or fully surrounds youI guess I just don't get the flame power. Wow really opens up after the casino.
lol at the pancakes part.
General rule: always use in-game cap when you have it, it gives less input lag and can run smoothly since is an internal one.I was having intermittent microstuttering issues playing with RTSS locked to 60 and in-game set to unlimited.
I just figured out that for this game you need to disable frame limiting in RTSS and set the in-game to 60 fps. Everything is super smooth now (except for those weird drops when you first hit objects and a loading spike here and there)

I just completed the Hollis Mind missions and the Casino levels are simply amazing. So far Psychonauts 2 is my GOTY!.
Just started it.
"you dont see the gravity of the situation'
And then the gameplay after it
I like this lol
Yeah it's weird I think it would be better as a fire version of psy blast. It literally just makes an orb around you, so you have to get pretty close.
I think HDR is Xbox exclusive as it doesn't actually have it only AutoHDRHDR seems to work fine on PC. Looks amazing too. Some of the environments are really amazing in this game. The casino has been so great
Have you tried the new dodge/roll mechanic? Flick stick left or right and press B/Circle. In fact, you can upgrade it to be some sort of parrySomething kinda feels off with the combat, I'm having trouble avoiding damage a lot.
Yeah I'm not getting any vibrations on the PS4.Just to be clear: vibration isn't working for anyone on the PS4/PS5 version of the game, right?
Outside of a few mentions in this thread I haven't seen anyone talk about this seemingly major bug, so now I'm starting to wonder if it's just affecting myself and a small group of others.
