EU not being region locked is not the same thing as an official EU release. They haven't confirmed EU servers yet.
That's like playing some JP exclusives (MMOs or not), I can play them online, that doesn't mean it's releasing in another region.
Honestly, I'm legit expecting the PC version to not come for MONTHS. Possibly even near the end of the year. That's my feeling on it.
While this is more irrational, I have a feeling that the Xbox version (full version, not alpha/beta) will be out before the PC gets an alpha/beta.
I recall a tweet on a thread here that they expect to be on PC by the end of the year, if im not mistaken. Which is fine, since i already had given up few years ago. I can wait some more.
Phil Spencer stated that it will come to other platforms eventually.

Plenty of games still release in Europe while being English only so this is silly.
They can, at least, put EU ships to the NA release.
Huh. Chalk that up to my ignorance then, I thought those days we long gone.
I thought most games at least had EFIGS menus and subtitles, even if audio is not localised.
That's too bad. One of my favorite things about the first game was being able to jump around to different worldwide servers.
The structure of the game is platform agnostic.
I played between PC and Vita for years.
The dream would be for the game to have parity or connectivity to the JP servers, to avoid a Phantasy Star Universe situation.
Sadly, the raw amount of content that would require international licensing will probably keep that out of the cards.

This one should be expected since that's how it worked in JP for PS4/PC
