It seems like it worked, but it doesn't show in my Uplay library.
It will, give it a few minutes, i have claimed a few free giveaway from the Chinese store.
I prefer it solo, actually. I played briefly in coop with randoms and most encounters (though not all) became trivial.

Commander Lilith DLC for Borderlands 2 is now free on EGS. Hopefully my save from the steam version is fully functional now.

Id log in and check. It said the same for me but never actually redeemed until I spoofed the browser to be mobile.

I do not think you need to spoof anything. I used that chinese method but when I logged in uplay (where it says I own division, having only clicked that button on the chinese website) the client showed me this pop up about claiming the game for free. Clicked on discover and this is what I see:
