Fucking finally, great it backtracks too, don't have to rely on their terribly inconsistent yearly emails anymore. Wonder what games I put an embarrassing amount of time in.

I put 221 hours into Fallout 4, WTF?
AC Odyssey 192 hours.
650 hours into the Witcher 3, holy fucking hell. (that's 4 full playthroughs I think, but I thought maybe 300).
1200 in Destiny 2 and 600 in Destiny 1,lower than I expected there, especially D1.
190 hours in MGS 5, I'm calling BS on that 1, that's around Bloodborne play time and I played BB a lot.

Yes please. Why it took them till their fifth console to implement something so easy and a lot of people enjoy is mind blowing to me
Technically they had time tracker since PS1 (in game saves data).
This site just added this future since Sony added it to its API.

I'm not so sure how accurate this is....a lot of games play time are a lot higher than they should be, and some games I haven't started except maybe once (brother's games) show like four hours.
We lived the same life brother, I think I stopped playing it daily sometime in late September 2017 but still picked it up occasionally
You might need to turn off privacy on your games list (can do this through PS4 or the PS website). There's a manual sync button under Tools on the site to re-check your profile.
I thought I had a lot of hours clocked but some of you lot have more hours in a single game than I do over my entire library

Only bad part is that it doesn't track Vita or PS3 games. That was expected I guess.
Awesome of Sony to implement a feature we know Sony had access to for years. It retroactively working with PS4 games you played is just icing on the cake too.
This was pretty much the only reason left to pick a Switch version over PS version for games that I don't care about portability in.
With that said, some of my games are definitely inflated, but 2807 hours in Destiny 1, 881 in Elder Scrolls Online, 675 in The Division seem right as my top 3. My Monster Hunter World save file is at 240 hours or so when it says that I'm at 651 so I guess a combination of rest mode and idling at the title screen are the culprits.

That exo site has screwed up times. It's saying I've put nearly 100 hours into a game I know I have played for maybe 2 hours max? It also show I put 250 hours into Persona when I definitely only put 130 according to my game save (I didn't save scum or start other files, so it couldn't be much more than that with menu idle time).

Yeah, there's a few suspect ones on my list too. Like it's possible I accidentally left some games running but idk.
Edit: It's saying I've only played Control for ~5 hours lol. I've beaten that game thoroughly, would have at least 25 hours in it. So yeah, it's not 100% accurate.
Def not reliable so to speak. Got plat for Spider-Man and it say .06 hours played. That's so wrong. The almost 400 hrs played for The Division 2 has me scared tho. I didn't spend that much time on that game I hope lol.
And another with Madden 18 @ 552 hrs. Thats no way I played that game for so long.

This site seems doesn't seem very reliable for a lot of games.
These were my top 3 played games according to Sony:
In that site I have OW with 2227h (around 70h more) and by that point I had already dropped the game.
Bloodborne has 692h and I sure as hell haven't put 220h more in that game since then. I played it a few times but not to that extent.
Dragon Quest XI is on the mark.
Also all of these are wrong:
Some by a LOT like Witcher 3 which acording to them is even higher than DQXI when I spent like 100h-150h on it.
