Godfall is not a service game, and yet it's always online.. why?

It's a three player game by default, but online isnt needed for solo play.
I thought the dev themselves said you wouldn't need it for solo play?

but they also confirm that ps+ isn't needed if you play solo.
so solo still needs an online connection. just doesn't need ps+
maybe its just another way to say always online without saying it. maybe for legality.
Yeah makes sense. Which I think is good to tell people hey this game is always connected in a sense which is helpful
Because Sony takes 30% of those 70 bucks for each copy sold and the percentage is lower on PC.
i'd rather not have to return a game 3-4 times to get an uncrushed box

also if the game really needs online connection. then RIP once game server goes down for good unless they patch it out. i doubt this game will last even if its a launch game.
I guess this is why I'm not in marketing, but I can't understand why they thought "SAVE APERION" was a good tagline for the box. This is a new IP. No one knows or cares about Aperion.
No, but with every video we saw so far it looks so unbelievable unappealing, uninspired and boring to me, without any soul.
This and online only, with the current line up of other titles, I think I wouldn't even try it if it would be a F2P game.
Most feedback to all seen content also was more lukewarm then anything else.
I'll tell you, down to 30 bucks in 2-3 weeks, some very few under 30 in 4. This will bomb hard.
