at the ps4 launch, controllers were sold ahead of the console without issues
games/system if it shows up early? probably not
walmart has a system where if you ring specific things it wont allow the sale
but i image cameras/controllers/accessories will be able to be sold

Probably not. I saw the Xbox Elite controller 3 weeks early last year and they couldn't ring it up until its release date.

All Wal-Marts within 10 miles have them in stock for me, but I prefer using my Xbox One controller for my PC and I don't need a second controller since I'm already getting one with my PS5. I guess I can see someone buying one to play on PC but other than that, it just seems like an impulse buy.

Wouldn't surprise me if you start seeing more peripherals going on sale "early." I remember getting my DS4 awhile before the console came out, and they even started selling PS4 games a couple of weeks early.
i'd be surprised if these actually have a street date. if it did, i'd guess they'd be for sale on the 30th?

I doubt Sony is particularly fussed about peripherals being sold early. It's not as though you can do anything with it until the 12th.
Just read this and the new Burger King commercial showing the retail box for PS5 showed up on a commercial. Holy damn the box is huge! The new BK commercial isn't up on youtube yet but good luck trying to hide that sucker.
I've bought games 1-2 weeks ahead of street date at Walmart multiple times. They don't care.
