That space is used, that's where "Only on PlayStation" is on applicable titles.
Why don't these things just get placed on the back like everything else.

I don't get why so many people want it to be on the back. If they put it on the back, than consumers won't know about it. It being on the front allows the consumers to know if you buy the PS4 version, you will get the PS5 version as well.
Wouldn't that create confusion on which to buy? I guess you could play the PS4 disc in the PS5, but what do you do for the digital edition of 5?

No I mean for example a parent/grandparent buying a disc as a gift for someone with a digital edition console. I wonder if and hope against us moving to unique game codes being in the box for every game to redeem the game on PSN.

Probably already been answered...but is there a reason as to why rating logos and such on standard game cases can't just be stickers instead of being printed right on the artwork?
I wonder if this badge would change between free/paid/time-limited upgrades ?
You cant pick up game boxes in a lot of stores like Walmart or Target, there in a glass case you can only see and read the front of the box art.Why don't these things just get placed on the back like everything else.
Exactly my thoughts. Would be a great way to use that empty space. It's good but I would have put it in the header, in the space where there is nothing
It's more visible imo

Yes just thought about it later, buying to many digital games :-DBut that's where you have "Only on PlayStation" for exclusives. What do you do if a game has to have both tags? It would look off in the middle of the banner.
I would say the rating on the back of the cases are there. But ya, the front does make it easier to see off the bat, especially for parents.I would assume they need to be seen at any point in time, not just when you initially buy the game new. If you remove the stickers how will you know the rating/warnings etc, especially when you buy a game second hand?
The Limited Edition is the Base Edition for Fenyx Rising, it's just that it includes a Bonus Pre-order Add-on.
Better, but it's only on the box once. How do we know a PS5 upgrade is actually available for sure?
believe the PS5 disc are dual layer blu-ray disc o up to 100gbBecause, as has already been mentioned in the thread, doing that with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X games could lead people to believe that they'll work with PlayStation 4 / Pro and Xbox One S|X. Plus, do we even know what types of discs Microsoft and Sony are using? They very well could be using the higher-capacity Blu-ray discs that 4K UHD movies are released on.

Wait...if they're dual-layer, then does that mean they're regular Blu-ray discs? I thought they needed to be triple-layer discs to support 100 GB, as the first two layers only support up to 25 GB each, while the third layer adds 50 GB.believe the PS5 disc are dual layer blu-ray disc o up to 100gb
Then maybe their triple layer. I just recall seeing it would be 100gb space disc. Just need the proper laser for em to read it. Simple and effective, I like this more than the "Optimized for Series X"
I wonder when MS will update these to mention series S?
Maybe if it's just a download code in the box.
BIGGER!
I like the white banner. Problem is it clashes with the blue case. If they made the case white or black it would look quite nice.Hurts how superior that blue banner is in comparison to the white one.
