Cries in South America
Still have a long long way to go for cloud gaming to take off globally imo. And that's without taking into consideration internet speeds and other factors out of their control.

Yup. She's not playing it, for sure.
Now I understand why publishers keep lying to consumersThat's not really relevant? The demos they showed in the past were real.
Which would be worse imo.
The Kinect stage video with the guy was a Cirque du Soleil performance art thing. People on the ground were not really under the impression it was a live demo, so that's always being presented out of context.
Okay
It's either faked or their latency is worse than psnow .
I Can't imagine after all this talk of azure servers , they launch something worse than psNow
True .let's see what happens when they launch. And they haven't. I used the E3 beta of PSNow and it wasn't great. It was much better by launch. What shape was it in prior to the beta? Who knows, but that's the stage that MS are at right now. Public trials are this year so we should have plenty of actual hands-on impressions then.
Really? They've faked tons of things just like this before including at the Xbox One reveal with the presenter clearly pressing a remote when trying to show out accurate the new Kinect was.
So you don't see how it is relevant when they kept saying cloud computing in CD3 is like 20 times the power of one x1 and in the end it could not even match the destruction of red faction guerrilla on ps3 and x360?
Does any company ever do public demos like this that aren't obviously fake/staged?
Just because they couldn't replicate it on a larger scale doesn't mean the demo was fake. That was long before the game actually launched. Games can go under a lot of changes during development. As long as they're not lying about the final form of the game that they're launching I see no issue. So you don't see how it is relevant when they kept saying cloud computing in CD3 is like 20 times the power of one x1 and in the end it could not even match the destruction of red faction guerrilla on ps3 and x360?

All the damn time. Hell sometimes stuff goes wrong, other times you get articles describing how stuff almost went wrong etc.
Intel's recent demonstration of a 28-core processor running at 5GHz has certainly stirred the pot here at Computex, particularly because the presentation appeared to imply this would be a shipping chip with a 5.0GHz stock speed. Unfortunately, it turns out that Intel overclocked the 28-core processor to such an extreme that it required a one-horsepower industrial water chiller.
FWIW Microsoft is notorious for not staging their tech demos, too. Way too many instances of on-stage fuck-ups, unless they've intentionally muddied the waters, which is a higher order level of conspiracy. They wouldn't fake this. The cynicism around cloud gaming is really tiring.
Does any company ever do public demos like this that aren't obviously fake/staged?
Definitely real thats just how forza plays and I can imagine with lag it would be just like that.
90% of the first page needs to take the heaviest L ever, geez yall quick to judge with no knowledge.
Too much latency. Looks about on par with ps now which is no Bueno
5G. Plus not all of the underground is actually underground. Still thought it was an odd thing to say in the video tho!Was about to say. I don't think I've ever used a mobile network that would handle that kind of bandwidth properly on any subway system.
Based on what? A thirty second clip? Or you have actual evidence of this? From what I've seen they're on par with one another. Fortunately Ms isn't charging for this yet. Still time for them to improve it more. This demo, faked or not, is worse than PS Now in terms of latency.
So you can base it off the clip but he can'tBased on what? A thirty second clip? Or you have actual evidence of this? From what I've seen they're on par with one another. Fortunately Ms isn't charging for this yet. Still time for them to improve it more.

Right. He says one thing I say the other. Neither has proof as far as I know. That's why I asked

OkwyBased on this demo clip. PS Now tested at CES 2014 didn't have that kind of lag. This demo is much worse.
Yeah, I know. I was in the Beta and it was pretty good and that is why I'm asking why is Google seemingly so ahead of them on this where they were actually doing a Beta last year.Google already did a public beta of their tech called project stream
That was on PCYeah, I know. I was in the Beta and it was pretty good and that is why I'm asking why is Google seemingly so ahead of them on this where they were actually doing a Beta last year.
Look at when her left finger hits LT and when the car's brake lights turn on. It looks pretty responsive to me.
If this is real, then the whole "Microsoft have Azure and they said that they made latency breakthroughs" needs to be looked at as a giant joke now. If Azure is supposed to be the game changer, then even in bad conditions wherever this was held shouldn't be an issue
Oh I read your comment backwards I think!Yeah, I know. I was in the Beta and it was pretty good and that is why I'm asking why is Google seemingly so ahead of them on this where they were actually doing a Beta last year.
Its real. Not sure where others are getting "fake"from. Clearly she's playing the game in real time and it controls pretty well.Honestly i'm on #TEAMREAL for this one, her thumbstick movements match up with the car.
If that's the case, then that's a big L to takeI think these are the best conditions possible. On the Microsoft campus, near the Quincy datacenter.
