Many thought this game was going to be for next gen because of how good it looked. Wonder if they've managed to keep the visual quality of the announcement.
That's the date of the rating, not the actual game.
Most thought this was a PS5 game based on the graphics. Will be interesting to see what this turns out to be.
My guess is that a demo for Project Awakening will be released. Maybe during TGS. Not just in Europe but other territories.
Between this and Sega Europe posting / quickly removing the English trailer for Yakuza 7 (and it's still not officially available), methinks a State of Play may be on the way.

Whoa I thought this was for sure a next gen title. I thought the devs even confirmed this in a recent interview after E3?
What exactly looks next gen. It looks like a late gen console game that pushes the console pretty hard. It's not more impressive than God of War or even Horizon maybe.
It would make very little sense to develop a next-gen exclusive for a Japanese developer unless they want to specifically target a western audience. So I'm not surprised.

Oh, I didn't know this is developed by Cygames. I wished there was a chance their Granblue Fantasy Relink would make an appearence on TGS as well. I'm dying to get more news about that game. But they seem to limit any news about the game to once a year in a December event. :/
It was in February. It's also mentioned in the article.
Also when it was rated in Korea, we didn't know what it was. Lots of people including myself guessed it was a demo. The PEGI rating happened today and is the first to clearly state that it's a demo. The timing is also curious, what with TGS around the corner.
It's already confirmed that it'll be at Granblue Fes in December, so there's that at the very least. =)

true but isn't that's kinda what this game is? Cygames wanting to prove they can be the new square Enix of fidelity for worldwide console audience?
It was the progression they seemed to be confused about (they had no idea if they wanted you to get stronger by swinging swords and shit more or whatever), but I imagine they have enough combat for a demo.

Really glad I just found out about this. I'm kinda shocked that people aren't talking more about it. Though, it kinda evokes some Deep Down vibes for me, so maybe some have assumed this is just vaporware as well? When was this announced?
